Chilli?! 😱😭 Bluey 2x19-2x21 Reaction!

I remember watching The Show, and being surprised by the balloon pop too! But what further surprised me, in a very touching way, was when I realized the interaction between Bluey and Bingo _after_ the balloon popped is actually meant to symbolize Bandit comforting Chili after her miscarriage. It's a cleverly disguised, layered scene, but It's one of the fine examples of how much this show can appeal to kids _and_ adults alike! Also, Tickle Crabs feels like an episode, at least in opinion, that symbolizes addiction or bad attachments. We see Bandit trying to escape the "tickle crabs", but they follow him where ever he goes. Like a weight on his shoulders, he can't get rid of them. He even seeks help from Chili, but she appears unwilling to assist him. But the whole time, we see her taking care of a toy doll, which I think can symbolize Bluey, their first child. This could imply they had issues in their early marriage/parenthood, where Bandit had to get rid of bad attachments or addictions that displeased Chili in order to be a better parent (this can be implied by Chili telling him "Maybe your true love has her own problems", as she's too busy taking care of their child to keep up with Bandit's issues). But in the end, when he's at his lowest point, ready to give up to the "tickle crabs", the one who _saves_ him is his wife. The love of his life rescues him from his bad attachments. It's very symbolic!

The creator confirmed that Chili miscarried at some point, which also goes on to explain the lengths the Heelers will go to for their kids as well as Chili being so sentimental about their baby stuff - she doesn't know if she can ever have another baby.

The first time I watched "The Show" and I saw that balloon pop.. I knew right away. Seeing Bandit comforting Chilli only confirmed it for me.. and the reason it hit me so hard was because the same thing happened to me. Literally the same way. I was almost in my 2nd trimester and my placenta ruptured, literally like a balloon, and I lost my son. It was my first pregnancy, and it was traumatic to me.. not a day goes by that I dont think about it. Its been 5 years, and I had my rainbow baby (he's 2 now) and I still remember that day like it was yesterday. Losing a child/pregnancy is something i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.. no one should ever have to experience that. And seeing as the show writers confirmed Chilli had a miscarriage before, it honestly made her so much more relatable and she shot up to my favorite character. ❤ So much love for Chilli and every other parent who has had to endure that heartbreak. I'm honestly so happy you caught onto it so quickly.

A lot of young adult Australians come to London. There's a lot of work and easy short term working visa access (Commonwealth). It's fully realistic that Bandit and Chili could have met over here and then headed home.

If you were wondering, yes. What you thought when the balloon pops was correct. The creator of the show later confirmed it in an interview that the whole idea and message of the episode was inspired by a friend he had who had a similar situation, and wrote the episode inspired by her. (The interview was a part of the book Hard of Bare)

Escape was one of the first episodes my friend who is a mom showed me, and I do love the creativity. I also love that the girls interpreted "party in London" as a tea party with the queen, since that's their only frame of reference.

10:30 I can absolutely confirm that, as a younger (and youngest) sibling, I really struggled with forgiving myself when it came to small mistakes and accidents. I was always comparing myself to my older brother, who was really good at everything, while i was kind of below average at most things. I was constantly giving myself unrealistic expectations that I just couldn't meet. This was a huge problem I had from the time I was a young child, up into my mid-teens. And sometimes even today as an adult.

It's so simple yet so wholesome and fun, I love the visuals being all their drawings, Bluey being the mature sister and deciding to draw instead of watching tv and how at the end they actually drew all of their adventure including Bandit and Chilli just relaxing together

Bandit and Chilli do disagree on how they met. The party on London is Chilli's version of how she met Bandit. But Bandit's version... Well, there will be time for that one. But the balloon popping and Bandit holding Chilli's hand... that is powerful scene. Many fans wondered about it until it was confirmed that Chilli did have a miscarriage. The only thing it is not known is when that happened, if it was before or after she and Bandit had either Bluey or Bingo. The woman that inspired that already had children and needed to find the courage to move on for the sake of her other children. And that is also the point of this episode, where Chilli transmits her coping mechanism to Bingo. There is also another thing that further implies that the miscarriage happened not so long ago, but it's something for the future.

On that, most people think it's before bluey. For one thing the way it's shown in the show, the balloon that pops was supposed to be bluey, so if it's accurate to the timeline it would be before they had kids. There's also been rainbow imagery with bluey, like in the rain episode, which implies that bluey is the rainbow baby. There's also a lot of speculation that the miscarriage might have been partially caused by the reveal we got in dragon. Not gonna say the exact thing cause spoilers, but for everyone who's seen all the episodes currently out, the reveal in dragon definitely could've been stressful enough for chili to have lost her first child.

I know everyone's saying this, but Joe Brumm has confirmed that Chilli did have a miscarriage. "The Show" was inspired by a real life woman he knew who went through the experience, and although it was devastating, she still children who needed her. That's where the checklist comes in: she has a good cry, picks herself up, dusts herself off, and keeps goin. The show must go on. Also the dispute about how Bandit and Chilli met is touched upon in a Season 3 episode. No spoilers! Just keep it in the back of your mind, you'll realize when you get there.

There's a dispute about how they met because in the older episode about when Bandit was telling a story about how he was a bad big brother to Stripe, he said he met Chilli as a kid and she said his name which broke the jinx he was under by his brothers and that's when he fell for her. Chilli saids it wasn't her but her family did go there for vacation at one point and Bandit insisted that it was her.
