Flat Pack is a tasteful representation of evolution and religion, but the Bus episode is so chaotic and funny 😂

"I'm not taking advice from a cartoon dog!" - 13:16 is probably a reference to humans taking parenting advice from Bandit...!

I thought Bandit said the Bus was going to hit a casket factory too, but apparently it's 'custard' instead

A reference to the band “Custard”, that Bandit’s voice actor Dave McCormack is part of.

I love the Asterix reference in Queens, when Bandit says “By Toutatis!” before charging at Lucky’s Dad.

LETS GOOO, FLAT PACK That episode has so much meaning and symbolism to it, it's crazy to think a show like this would have an episode with so much depth. It surprised me alot when I saw it the first time, but it's amazing all the same

I don't think dogs evolved from monkeys in this universe; they jumped from dinosaurs to birds to monkeys, after all. Just jumping from one dominant species to another. The prevailing theory, because there are cute theories about how the Bluey universe operates, that in this universe monkeys never stopped living in trees, allowing canines to take over that niche. Not sure if you're still avoiding spoilers about what Bandit and Chilli do for a living, it's NEVER been mentioned in the show proper to date, so: There's a tiny short film that reveals that Bandit is the discoverer of the earliest known upright-walking canine, which explains why an archaeologist and an airport security guard can afford a million-dollar house. The prevailing theory since the out-of-show reveal of their jobs is that they're doing something illegal, finding artifacts and smuggling them out of the country for the black market. But that short downplays the real answer; Bandit made the archaeological discovery of the century and is resting on his laurels.

Not so much "resting on his laurels" as "living off book royalties and occasionally giving a talk for $100K per session", IMO.

the bus ep is a huge reference to the movie speed....the grannies are a stand in for the bomb in some aspects also After Bandit jumps back on the bus while Chilli is driving, he leans on the dashboard and driver's seat, making a similar pose to Keanu Reeves's character in the movie, Speed. Coincidentally, this episode takes place on a bus that cannot slow down, which is similar to the plot of Speed. Bluey Movie Poster #6 | Bus - Season 2 Episode kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJCzZJeoaLN6d6c

Bluey and Bingo used to say "Ooga Booga" when they were pretending to be cave dogs, but that got edited because "Ooga Booga" is an offensive saying against some folks in Australia.

I love how Flat Box presents the ideas of Evolution AND Religion in a charmingly, perfectly balanced way. While the girls are playing, Bandit and Chili are presented as the "creators" of their world and as Dr. Banjo from Futurama suggested, evolution CAN be set in motion by higher beings (in a sense.)

I don't believe in evolution, but this episode perfectly shows both evolutionary storytelling and religious storytelling all in 11 minutes.
@zoesumra91528 ай бұрын
Evolution is rather like yellow. The only debate is over how it happens, not its existence. Good for us as a species that we've got as far as we have with that over the last 150 years.

Starting to feel a bit suspicious to your ''legit blind'' reactions to this. You really get all that in one viewing? The same thing happens (Spoiler to next week's reaction) when you watch Sleepytime and pick up on that whole Mercury theory on that first view.
