With tears in my eyes as I listen , like you Sebastien, I just want to say thank you Sebastien, David, & Urs, for continuing on with what has to have been a heart wrenching decision to keep Il Divo going. The addition of Steven LaBrie to Il Divo is absolutely amazing and he has wonderful talent. I say addition, not replacement, because there can never be a replacement for Carlos Marin. I listen to Il Divo's Amazing Grace everyday while walking and as I look up at the sun when Carlos sings " when we've been there 10,000 years", I know God needed another baritone for his choir in heaven. I have had the privilege to attend four Il Divo Concerts and have all of your CD's. I wish I were closer to attend another. May God Bless you always.❤❤❤❤❤

They were performing in Brisbane, Australia in November and I bought tickets. I was so excited to be seeing them again. Then, as I was getting ready, I lost consciousness a couple of times and when I came around, couldn't trust myself to walk. I was so disappointed to miss out on what would have been my fourth concert. I just hope it was recorded on DVD. Not the same as being there, seeing these incredibly talented and loveable four men perform, but at least something ❤❤❤ I love their new single, "Crazy" and can't wait for a full, new album ❤

Watching this a year on, and it's obviously still raw - Seb so overcome he could barely sing. If we miss Carlos, imagine how they must feel, maybe Steven a little less, but he is there for them. I read recently he is now officially a member of Il Divo. Not a replacement for Carlos, rather an addition, as I am sure Carlos will always be with them in spirit, and his voice is irreplaceable. Además era y es muy importante Pedro porqe me ha acompañado en momentos muy duros y tristes de mi vida. La muerte de mi hermano con 49 años,hace 5 años. Mis padres murieron hace 2 años,mi madre murió en noviembre y mi padre a los tres meses. Justo antes de qe nos encerraran. Mi madre estuvo enferma muchos años,con Alzheimer, y le encantaba la música,yo le ponía a Carlos, y il divo. En ese momento ella se calmaba. Eran,era el qe me hacía sonreír,me emocionaba,me transportaba a otro lugar.. hacia qe mis penas se desvanecieron por un momento. I echo your sentiments…all of them. When Seb became choked up at the beginning I felt a huge lump my throat and thought “please God, give him the strength to carry on”. This is the first vid I’ve seen seen with Steven. I was genuinely impressed. Of course “no one” will ever replace Carlos but…life does move on and I think Il Divo has made a good choice in Steven. I just hope the “fan world” doesn’t fill these new videos with overwhelming negative comments about Steven. Still the best group of it's kind, in the world, imo. Even with the loss of dear Carlos, they still sound great. Imagine how wonderful they will sound when they have worked through their loss and maybe sing new songs of their own, with just the 4 people in the new line up. There are other groups out there who imitate the type of music that Il Divo do. Yes, some are good and make for easy listening, but they don't come close to Il Divo. God bless Carlos and for all his wonderful music which I will continue to listen to. But I welcome Steven and hope he is going to be a permanent member. I don't think an outsider can join a well established group, especially under the circumstances that he did, and come in with all guns blazing. Over the years, Carlos truly earned the part he played, and I think Steven will earn his. Of course it will never be the same, but Steven seems a personable young chap who will fit in with whatever is required of him, whilst at the same time, keeping his own unique personality. It's like anyone in any more normal work situation. The new boy wouldn't go in first day and try to be steal the limelight. X
