Same here, Carlos was my idol and absolute favourite singer of all time. I'm an aspiring classical singer myself thanks to him, and it breaks my heart that I'll never get to thank him for it :( It too him passing away to get me off my ass and start training, I regret that really badly. I hope he can look down on me as I embark on my journey, and I hope he's looking down at you guys, as well. You were like brothers, the four for you... RIP Carlos.

My daughter pass on December 11 2020, and this is her phone that I am using, With the death of Carlos I felt that she passed all over again my heart broken 💔 in two , would you believe he's on her playlist with his brothers they have voices that fill my home with love ,it is something she and I use to do, Those boys were the best thing that happened to the world, And my beautiful daughter is so sweet she will sing along with them I could still here her beautiful voice , Now singing in heaven with Carlos for the Angles. Just 7 days after Carlos passed, I lost my mum to vascular dementia. (She died in my arms at 11:15pm on December 26th 2021.) Then, as if that wasn't bad enough.... Mum's older brother also passed on January 15th 2022, from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases. That's 3 loved ones I lost within 1 month. To Urs, David and Sebastien I say this: You are all in my prayers. Thank you for including and acknowledging all of us at this devastating time. I pray that the music may become your healing medicine. Big hugs to you all!

Watching this video I - once again - cried my heart out over the loss of Carlos. It is still incomprehensible that someone, who - before the start of the UK Christmas Tour - looked so healthy, full of life and eager to start this new tour, became so sick and died in just a few weeks. To me, Carlos was the “ultimate Diva” for his humour, charm and great personality, but above all for his exceptional, powerful voice. He leaves a void that never can be filled.

No dudo q Sebastien y David estuvieran triste ,de Urs no opino lo mismo, pero sigo opinando q sus hechos no concuerdan con el dolor q se supone tenían., intentas en algún momento estar a lado de tu amigo , desaparecieron de escena nada más enfermar, y no volvieron a aparecer, en 6 meses, hasta el concierto en Madrid y ni se acercaron al cementerio para llevar unas flores. No lo entendí nunca.😢 el desapego después de 17 años juntos.

@@maribelfernandez7139 you are so wrong. Here in England no one could be with any one at the hospital I know from personal experience that’s true. They couldn’t go to the funeral because of Covid restrictions regarding flying at the time and two of them were sick. Urs was honest Carlos could be difficult at times but that didn’t mean he disrespected him. They sent their condolences to the mother by video and funeral flowers were sent confirmed by the people at the place the funeral took place. In Madrid they visited the grave privately and a photo was put on Facebook but was taken down after a short time. Unfortunately a lot of lies have been spoken about Sebastien David and Urs and some just don’t want to know the truth. In time the truth will be out there and all those who believed the lies will realise the mistake they made in believing them.

I loved Carlos but I am so happy that you keep on singing with a new Baryton. It's hard to read that some people write that it will never be the same. Of course it will never be the same. It will be something else. I'am sure that we will have wonderful emotions. Carlos was a one off with the most beautiful voice and soul. Nobody will ever replace Carlos, but the strength you three have showed since you started the shows is incredible, it’s was v upsetting to see you all so emotional, it must of been so incredibly hard to get back on that stage. My gosh…what a horrible thing to say…all the members have amazing voices…Carlos was an important part of ll Divo but he wasn’t the group…he was one voice of this amazing group. Each are so special. Carlos impress me as a jolly good feela, always smiling, very friendly personality with a baritone voice. He brings joy and cheer in the room. David no sé si leerás esto pero gracias por el vídeo y por tanta música.Yo los sigo desde el 2004, tenía 15 años y aunque no me gustaba ese tipo de música quede impactado por la voz de los 4, especialmente la de Carlos, tanto que compre su disco y empecé a seguirlos. Fui al concierto de Bogotá esta año y debo decir que en este momento tengo una sensación extraña, me alegra que puedan seguir como grupo pero por mi parte creo que llegue hasta aquí (por lo menos de momento). Es díficil no ver a Carlos en el escenario cantando y reír con sus ocurrencias, saber que nunca volveremos a oír su voz en la nueva música que saquen... Ahora también es díficil ver como las canciones que siempre me gustaron suenan diferente en el concierto y sin esa magia que tenían antes cuando ustedes cantaban con Carlos. Steven podrá ser un cantante muy talentoso, profesional, con buena actitud hacia el público y todo lo que quieran, pero su voz es MUY diferente a la de Carlos, no tiene la misma "suavidad" necesaria para algunas canciones, sin embargo, le agradezco su compromiso y profesionalidad, no todos los días se pueden escuchar voces así. Seguiré escuchando sus antiguas canciones por las plataformas y en mis discos...de pronto en un futuro, cuando mi familia y yo podamos superar este duelo por Carlos, podremos volver a oír sus nuevos trabajos. Escribo esto para agradecerles por tanta música, tantos momentos en los que sus canciones me acompañaron en momentos difíciles y por los momentos de alegría también... Fui al concierto por el homenaje a Carlos y para despedirme de ustedes. Les deseo mucho éxito y espero que Il Divo siga cantando por muchísimos años más. Mi madre y yo les deseamos muchos éxitos, porque por el talento que tienen sabemos que seguirán cosechando muchos triunfos

Yo, todavía( y va a hacer 2 años de la partida de Carlos) q no puedo ver al nuevo grupo sin CARLOS, porque para mí ILDIVO eran los cuatro y yó entre a seguirles por CARLOS, si El yá no está, (y me duele el comportamiento de sus "hermanos" después de su partida,) para mí nuevo grupo no existe. Con todo el dolor de mi corazón, si las cosas hubieran sido de otra forma quizás les hubiera seguido.

2006 was the first time I ever heard of il divo Saw you on Larry King live performing "without you" from the siempre album. I was fascinated by your arrangements, harmonies. Just everything really. Then funny enough. A few months later I stumbled upon live at the Greek DVD and instantly bought it. I rewatched that concert so many times. It was my escape. Carlos sudden passing was a complete shock and gut punch. It just doesn't feel real and I mourned quite a bit. I get choked up singing along with il divo And watching past performances. But anyway.. I just want to say thank you because of you, seb and urs.. Because of il divo I discovered a passion for singing and music I didn't know I had. #carlosmarinforever #ildivoforever

I agree I remember reading Carlos is in an induced coma and I was thinking that OK, it will help his body cope better and get back to doing what he did. At no point did I consider he might not make it, even now Im wondering how the outcome was so bad. Its very sad.

This had me in tears, you guys are incredible and Carlos was one of the 4 pillars of the group. His voice is irreplaceable and he will never ever be forgotten but now you have another wonderful voice to , not replace Carlos- he's irreplaceable, but another voice to add to the unique and beautiful tones of IL Divo. My heart continues to break for you, and for the loss of Carlos... It's hard enough for us as long time lovers (not in a creepy way) of Il Divo, but to watch the three of you try to pick up the pieces to continue without him after the loss of - basically - a sibling - and as you mentioned - you had spent more time together than you did with your families, this can only be what I would imagine to be so incredibly painful to have to revisit at every show - the songs you so gloriously sang with Carlos, and no disrespect to Steven intended - but feeling the harshness of not hearing Carlos's glorious baritone filling those heady moments at the culmination of each song must be confronting each and every time. I still wonder how any of us are ever going to be able to get over this.. How can this one .. beautiful.. man... capture the hearts and minds of everyone he ever met, or reached out to touch with his voice, personality or in person ever - ever be replaced or his death be "accepted".. In my mind, I still disbelieve - I refuse to be at peace with this - .. and to be truthful - even though I can honestly believe that heaven was jealous and wanted his voice for themselves, I rail heartily against the fates that deemed it was his "time". I truly believe however that I am beyond thankful that I'm old enough to have been alive when Simon Cowell concepted Il Divo, and the very first album dropped, and I fell so very headily in love with you all, and have remained enraptured and encaptured for all of these years, and - as with you all - Carlos seemed to be not just " one of you" but, your ringleader in charm and adorability.. I weep for you all.. and Gods... I pray - insincerely - to the gods, that somehow we come to terms with this - but, I don't WANT to come to terms with this because to do so means letting go of Carlos.. Much love, beloved David, Urs, and Seb... My heart remains with you...

I was very emotionally moved by the death of Carlos. Infact, more than any other singer, actor or entertainer that I had ever looked up to ever. I had never even met him, but felt like I knew him, as was the case I am sure for thousands of others. He had a big voice and even bigger personality, and I had followed IL Divo from the beginning when they were introduced by Simon Cowell on the Michael Parkinson show in the UK. So, in a way, they were made in Britain, as they say. Even though I admired Carlos and still do, it comes to a point in time, for me at least, when I have to let go of the misery of his passing, and look back with fond memories. I myself was unsure at first when Il divo decided to carry on so soon, if I'm honest. But, I stuck with it because I have always been a fan of all of the group. As to who did or said what about Carlos, I don't really know the whole truth because I wasn't there. Maybe, in hindsight, they would have done certain things differently, maybe they weren't able to. I don't know all the answers. I also don't believe that all 3 who were left, were ever people who deserved all the spiteful things that were said about them. As for the interview given by Urs, I don't think he meant to cause harm. I think some people interpreted it to twist it round to look bad. Just one word of an interpreted txt that has several meanings, can change the whole context. Logically, why would a group member who was just about to embark on the biggest change in his career for many years, go to an interview and be nasty about his recently deceased bandmate, who he knew was loved around the world. It would have been professional suicide. Some are saying that they can't move on from Carlos because they don't want to. And there it is in a nutshell basically. I myself will always hold him in high esteem but at the same time, I feel that I am able to move on. I will give the group the benefit of any doubts and move on with them. I personally really like Steven as a performer and as a person. To all the people who think they should have put another Latino in the group, I have my doubts that that would be suffice either. Just because someone is Spanish or whatever, they still won't have the soul of Carlos. I think Il Divo will lose many fans with their new line up but I also think they will retain so many more fans as well, of which I am one because their music still enchants me.

Thank you, David, for this beautiful film. I was rocked to the core hearing about Carlos‘s death. How can someone with such powerful lungs succumb to such an insidious respiratory disease?! Like all of you, my brain refused to accept that he was gone. I have been a fan for many years, have all your CDs, was scheduled to see you live for the first time in Denver in February 2022, which of course never happened. I hope you will come back at some point. In the meantime, I am glad the group continues, and I wish you all healing and strength. ❤️
