I just received the parts today and fixed it successfully :-) I think the most difficult thing was to remove the old adhesive. But yes, i would say it is fairly easy :-)

Do not buy glass only, definitely not if you are a beginner. Even I lack the equipment and I am running a smartphone repair shop. You need a professional heating iron and more if you wanne do the glass only replacement properly.

happened to me too... but trick was to have the battery disconnected, plugged in screen first then battery then turn on. worked.

The P9 was better, I dropped that thing so many times and it never even had a scratch, the P20 is more vulnerable because of the curved glass edge, fucking bullshit design, had mine for two months and a light drop finished the screen.

I prefer to replacing the full front screen(LCD with digitizer), it is not an easy work to replace front glass only.
