It usually wants to remove qualifiers, in the service of "conciseness". That's not always a good thing, imo.

I'm pretty sure the were to was correction was a mistake by grammarly. It somehow thought "top-three" was a singular noun when I think it should be plural. "The top-three were" - should be the correct sentence.

As a person who speaks English, it is still the user's responsibility to check if the suggestions of Grammarly are correct. It is the user's prerogative to whether or not to accept the recommendations of Grammarly.
@CthRage8946
@CthRage8946 Жыл бұрын
Grammarly is a valuable tool, but its tone suggestions are awful. You don't know whether or not those suggestions are formal, and if you check in the Premium, it can give you a raging field of synonyms you can choose from, but again it doesn't mean that what you wrote isn't compelling. Grammarly is also not a fan of Ellipses except if they aren't in quotation marks - once more, it doesn't mean it is a grammatical mistake in punctuation if you put them there. A lot of people use them in casual writing, like writing on KZbin! The other thing Grammarly can help you with is as was shown in the review. Is that it can re-write in both the most common variations of English: BrE and AmE! It can't rephrase them at all despite those promises!

Grammarly is a gimmick. I've been using it for a while now, and I've come to the conclusion that there are just certain coding rules that don't account for context and treat each sentence as though it were written separately. Most of the suggestions are inappropriate.

Just don't. Grammarly is a disservice especially for conversational English. If they limited it to spelling errors, okay. But when it starts changing phrases using wrong interpretation then we part ways.

A lot of company KZbin channels do that, they're instructional usually and have no need for algorithmic seeding, nor do they want the added workload of moderating people.
