#Erikgrönwall won Swedish Idol 2009, made 2 solo albums joined AOR band H.E.A.T in 2010 were he met Jona, the piano man. In 2018 he did the role of Simon Zealotes in NBC’s television show of Jesus Christ Superstar alongside John Legend and Alice Cooper. In 2020 he quit H.E.A.T to focus more on managing other artists but he continued to work with Jona Tee with New Horizon. 2021 tragic hit, Erik was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, promised himself if he survived he would sing for the rest of his life, got a bone marrow transplant in August -21. Start of 2022 he was asked to join Skid Row, did so but the massive touring prevented him from getting the chance to recover properly, he had a new immune system therefore he caught every bug and virus. This led to his departure from the band in 2024. Health first is Eriks strongest value and promise to himself. He now fulfills his other promise, to sing and in which forum is irrelevant. He also sings Mother Mary on Michael Schenkers album My years with UFO and he will do the European tour with MS, starting in April 2025.

Oh - you absolutely have to check out more of Erik's stuff! He's amazing. i'd recommend his "The House of the Rising Sun" next! I first discovered Erik through a collaboration he did with Dan Vasc "Breaking The Silence" A H.E.A.T. cover. (Erik used to be the lead singer for H.E.A.T) Dan and Erik's voices blend together so well! Head down this rabbit hole. You won't regret it. Thanks for the reaction.

I'm just bingeing reactions to this song lately.. It's so good, and so much fun to see everyone else love it too. I had a look at your channel, and I see there's Ren reactions too. I guess I'll stay here for a bit then! I had completely lost track of what Erik was doing after he won Swedish Idol in 2009. And then a few days ago I saw a channel I follow had done a reaction to this song, so I had a look at that. And HOLY CRAP, he's good! I really liked him in Idol, but this was on a whole new level. So far, this one and his dark version of House of the rising sun are my favourites.

Great reaction. Erik is amazing and covers a wide range of music genres. He is Swedish, a rock singer by trade but can master so much more. His partner in crime in this video is Jonah T, who is not only a musical genius but also produces most of Erik's music these days. Erik was a band member with Jonah in the Swedish rock group Heat and also New Horizons. Then Erik got leukemia, received a bone marrow transplant and recovered. 5/6 months later, he was lead singer of Skid Row, but decided this year that he really needed to concentrate more on his health and left to concentrate on that and his own independent music. He is the best vocalist that I have heard since the likes of Jon Bongovi and he's also a bit of a hoot! Try his version of 'House of the Rising Sun' or Johnny Cash' 'God's Gonna Cut You Down' for something a little more classic or his rendition of Whitnhey Huston's 'I will always love you' if that kinda thing is up your street. You will not be disappointed........he's a phenomenon!!

Erik was the lead singer of Skid Row but he left after he got cancer and decided to focus on his health. He did an amazing cover of House of the Rising sun, I think you will love it!

Great reaction! I hope you’ll check out more of Erik. And you’re correct in that they look to be in a band together. Well, not anymore I think but have been in 2 different rock bands together mainly H.e.a.t. Jona the piano player is still with that band. Erik was in it around 2010-2020. Erik was also in Skid Row for a bit. He got famous in Sweden in Swedish Idol 2009 and he also won that year.
