Within Temptation (WT) are a Dutch Gothic/'Symphonic Rock Band, around for over 25 years and quite popular all around (especially) Europe. I've been a fan for 20 years, ever since their Mother Earth album, and I've seen them live 8 times. Fun fact: the first time I saw them Live at Java Island (Amsterdam) one of the opening bands was After Forever, Floor Jansen's first band. Other musicians who were at one time in AF are Mark Jansen (founder of Epica) and Joost van den Broek (who also plays with Ayreon and Floor's solo work)

8.5 (with nightwish as a comparison, probably 9.5 for general music and 11.5 compared to current popular music) Tuamas is the poet and composer. If I undersand the process right. He makes a demo with most instruments and voices already filled in. He presents it to the band and then they have a big say in it. Mostly small changes sometimes they convince him that a big overhaul is necessary. Like the other member he does not really suffer from a big ego, so if big changes are required, big changes will be made,

9,5 Yesterwynde - starting with the shots of the old film projector - is the passionate intro to this album. Yesterwynde is like an old concept album by Pink Floyd, you might take the time to listen to it from the first song all thru to the last one. After about 50 times now it grew on me up to the 5 best albums I own - and I am 64 now and have about 8000 records. The last song -Lanternlight- is my personal song of the year 2024 by far. It is very, VERY different but exactly that is the reason - and it ends again with the projector. For me Nightwish has evolved to one of those rare bands, that create art without any consideration to what anybody expected or to say it the short way: Nightwish does Nightwish things. And I predict this record will be recognized in decades, just like Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the moon. Some records last forever. Greetings from Germany
