Ketchup on spaghetti is very common in Sweden. It's something a lot of Swedes grew up with. Spaghetti sauce in a jar or can wasn't as available in Sweden in the 60s thru 80s as it was in the US and Canada so using ketchup on spaghetti or macaroni became a typical easy kids meal for parents.
