Yes they are from the start you're correct, not sure who eventually come out on top for the entire season. The thing is for sandro's position DMF interceptions is the main job so that stat is much more clearer then say the assists stat, as a deflecting pass or a miss hit pass is still regarded as an assist.

Yes and i fully agree with you. I admire you board's desire and ambition. What i am saying is that we are very much in position to be able to return to the top. Wenger (very involved with board) wouldnt agree to the things we have done in the last few years if he knew it was only for the clubs financial gain. I agree, Spurs played quite well today. Eriksen was excellent, he's the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle we've been missing since Modric's departure. Although a lot of the possession and domination came from Norwich inept tactics in playing 4-4-2 against us. I think Soldado's been great, he isn't the fastest, nor strongest but his movements makes up for it. Just like Ozil, Mata, Eriksen, Coutinho etc. Spurs and Arsenal up top, with Chelsea losing. It's been a great day.

Nicolas, Aquilani was a totally different player and 5 years younger than aquilani when he moved to EPL. Lamela has attitude issues (red cards) and it will be a challenge for AVB to develop him like Ronaldo7 did

Soccer is a team sport, play off the ball is just as important as play with the ball. Sure Messi/Ronaldo highlight vids show some crazy ball skills, but what makes them truly great is patience and ability to read the defense and make that perfectly timed run in the perfectly planned path to get open for that split second to score a goal. Lamela has that same ability. Trust me, he's not overrated and the fact that his goals look like "simple finishes" says something about his OVERALL play.

I'm not basing my confidence on the last 3 games along, we've been playing well since January, we haven't lost in something like 13 games in a row, we're looking tight at the back, although Jonhnson is out for 10 weeks so that might disrupt us, and Suarez is yet to come back, there's a lot to be hopeful about!!

if tottenham get lamela and willian theyre going to be a very strong team - might not gel straight away but aside from a few back line signings to make them more solid (well contreao maybe ?, dont really rate walker defensively) they can challenge for top 4 if not more. sandro, dembele, paulinho, soldado, willian, lamela in midfield and attack with chadli, lennon and the youngsters as back-up not bad. liverpool fan btw.

Bear in mind Spurs don't have any creative midfielders, and Bale singlehandedly got us 1 point behind Arsenal. Which is astonishing. Same as when Van Persie carried Arsenal few years ago. If Bale had play makers like Wilshire and Cazorla, he probably can get 30+ goals. But he managed to score 20+ via mostly individual brilliance (spectacular long shots). The gap between them is huge. Bale falls a category under Ronaldo+Messi, whereas Walcott are on par with Dzeko, Fellaini etc.

Maybe Lamela is extremely right footed (I don't think so, but well), however there are a lot of great one footed players. As an Arsenal fan I love Jack Wilshire, who is left footed as Lamela, but I think Lamela is the different player, the one who wins the difficult matches and creates his own goals by dribbling players. Even last season though, Walcott didnt even start regularly until the second half and he still scored 20+ goals. He also had way more assists than Bale. Of course I know that Bale is a better player but I dont think the gap between them is a as big as some make it out to be.

Bale did not carry us for the last 3 seasons, I think you're forgetting a certain Modric and Van der vaart who were far more important for us reaching the CL than bale was. It was only once we got into the CL that we saw the emergence of Bale (versus milan etc)

In england the players (wings) have to run attack defend 90° minutes .Italian football is slow , the teams that are more weaks defends in 10 and teams plays the ball , the midflieds are more tecnically pirlo pjanic vidal de rossi ecc. but they don't run 90° .... A lot of players underperforms when they achieve something. Like Adebayor, once he earned himself the fat paycheck he doesn't even try no more, he can careless to be on the bench as long as he gets over £170k p/w. Or another one, Kyle Walker, once he made the RB his own, he's become far too complacent and tries to play too over-confidently as he knows even if he plays bad, he'll still be in the first team. I think this applies to Walcott, as he has no competition to fight for his spot.

Underrated maybe bit strong to use for Walcott. He's good, no doubt, but his inconsistency is the problem. In some games he's unplayable, but a lot of times when he's not, he's quite poor. I have few Arsenal friends and they said in some matches they just can't stand Walcott when he performs badly. Such as missing the sitters you've mentioned, these type of misses which annoys my friends. Miss 1, OK, but chance after chance can be bit annoying. I can understand that, like Defoe.

This will be the last season Arsenal and Spurs will be in a "top 4 race". Arsenal will push on while Spurs will need to focus on building a stadium and keeping the books decent. So they will stall around 5-8.

Willian is done , he will be announced tomorrow or later today , lamela's agent is in madird to talk with baldini ( who's talking to madrid about bale) , a deal will certainly be agreed within hours and it will be around 40m € , so no chance for arsenal as wenger will not spend that kind of money on a 21 years old

He'll turn good. He needs to be roughed up to become good. Bale before was like him, scrawny and easy to dispossess. But Harry told the defenders to rough Bale up in trainings and now he's grew physically adept in the PL, and La Liga. Same for Lamela. A bright future, but needs to build on his confidence just like Soldado. We see glimpses of talent but lack of confidence means lack of end product, and not brave enough to take on defenders.
