With rapt attention to the high frequencies that extend beyond perception. They spiral up, settle like dust, only to ascend again as the wind picks up speed. So unique its hard to describe. Yes, his playing is technique laden, but never suffer from trying too hard. He has a lot to say and is terrifically mulilingual.

This song is misnamed on Pandora. It's Maelstrom on Pandora but I had to do some researching to find out it was actually Eon's Illusion. This song got my attention while listening and Its so analytically ethereal. I hope to one day play this well.

Jorge Velasquez In his tab book he gives a little intro to all of his songs, telling us what inspired him to write it. This one is about how time can slow down while you're waiting for something. I agree with you 100%. I think this is one of the most beautiful pieces he has ever written. :D

@skylord081 Erik uses various tunings. This is why if you try to replicate what you see here in standard tuning (EADGBE) you're not going to get what he gets. You're just going to get a clusterfuck of notes that don't work together.
