It's actually been answered. The way we play has been documented by a number of good analysts (and it's obvious if you watch all of our games). Even Erik himself has confirmed it. It's also how Ajax played. We play 505 and the front 5 press high with the back 5 sat deep. In defence, the idea is to win the ball back high and, if that fails, you have your deep 5 who are supposed to hold the oppo up. The only problem is, in the Prem, teams are good enough to score against 5, whereas in the Eridivise they are not. In attack, the back 5 pass the ball amongst each other until the oppo comes out and presses them and then we hoof it up to the front 5 who are supposed to try and win it and have 1 on 1s against their men. That's it. That's his genius plan. I had better tactics on FM when I was 12.

Following the script, the ETH Script is not viable. The idea is to score more goals than the opposition! The idea is to stop the opposition from scoring goals by game control and scoring as many goals as is possible. It appears obvious that with a minus goal average of 3 and the games to come EtH ball is not sustainable in the premier league.. It doesn't take opposition long to work out how to beat other teams with the closeness of the competition. The answer is not a park the bus, or transitional, or a mid or high line it is all of it! Unfortunately it is not just a matter of playing the best 11 it is a matter of choosing players that can match up against the opposition the best whilst sticking to different game plans. What this means is that the formation is now as important as the players chosen to play within a specified formation. The formation should then reflect the ability to best nullify the strengths and exploit the opposition team weaknesses. Building a squad requires two different types of outfield player for each position. This means an initial count of 20 outfield players. Utility players, that can slot into any position in any particular line is another key. A good example would be the Manchester United Forward Line. Interesting comments from Paul Scholes and Michael Owen. They both say Maclaren should be in charge for the last 4 games including the cup final. They both said Maclaren was a brilliant coach, Scholes and Owen should know. They said it is clear from the way United are playing that Maclaren is not coaching United. I feel bad for ETH...he still defends his players, even if they threw him under the bus. He cannot do miracles with such a slow defensive center line. Casemiro was abyssmal today...and Evans was not at 100%. In the front, Rasmus fought well, but no balls were given to him in the box....same for Garnacho, who barely received a ball.
