What Ronaldo is forgetting, like many others (or choosing to consistently ignore), is that it isn't 1999 anymore. There are far superior football teams in the league now and United aren't the United they ever were in the past. Being a "massive club" doesn't give you a divine right to success, or to even suggest you're realistically capable of success. It isn't an entitlement for any Club, including United, to stay in the Premier League, let alone win it, regardless of how many fans, how much media attention and how much history you have. United have needed to "rebuild" since Fergi left, and have tried to, several times. But there are better teams in the league now, with better players, better experience, better facilities... Man United will have a chance to become 'Man United' again when they stop the "we're Man United" mentality, get real, leave the past behind and move into the present. A United manager suggesting United can't win the league isn't lacking ambition, he's honest and realistic. Bottom line...being a big club, doesn't make you a relevant one.
