Hello my fiend Tom @CimbrerBushcraft , It is good to see you out and enjoying your new canoe Brother . And that is a beautiful little stream you were on . I use to love wading streams like that and fishing , But since I can not walk like I use to I had to give all that up . It brings my heart joy to bring back suck great memories my Friend , And you help bring back many great memories of when I was younger . I was born with a club foot and the service's would not take me , But my dad was an old navy man . He loved talking about being in the navy and the big destroyers he served on . He was very proud to have served the country in the navy . I have always wished that I could have . Thanks again my Brother for the great memories , I did enjoy it very much and look forward to seeing you again my friend . The Covid 19 is coming back hard and heavy bud , You take good care of yourself . And thanks again for the great memories .

Hello old friend, A most serene day upon the water. beautiful overhead filming, a glorious day to alive, making wonderful memories... the wife and I paddled our way to Glastonbury 2 years ago, and the country side is very similar, to the river you visited ,peacefully meandering its way to the fabled town of Festival fame.. upon the River Brue.. Great Video, I hit (like) the second I seen you Christen your canoe. I like Zippo lighters. They were very popular in the 70's and I owned several and still have a few. During that time a friend and I were drinking regular and perhaps a bit too much! He passed out, and I awoke to hear him screaming he was on fire! After I gained full consciousness and discovered that what he had done was, too fill his lighter too much and then stuck it in his right pocket while passed out on his left side, leaving the excess fluid to run down his leg and across his twin jewels. We still laugh about it. Great video work Tom!

i very much enjoyed the river adventure..look forward to many more. very sorry you suffered so badly in the heat to bring us on this adventure. thank you!!!! perhaps invest in a couple trekking poles..i know not very old school or at least cut a couple long sticks to carry in canoe and make a quick tarp shelter to shade yourself...couldnt weigh that much. stay safe n dont forget the sunscreen...hello to the MRS's ...nice to see her out and about in your beautiful peaceful camp. im sure a relaxing evening was had

Another great video Tom, thanks! It's been great to see how much you have connected with your Danish/Viking heritage.., and done so through bush craft and now boating. I have done that with my own Scottish heritage and it has enriched my life tremendously. We have much in common. But the Danes have had connections with the Scottish Isles for a very long time. You may claim to not be a sailor or boatman, but you can't keep a Dane off of the water forever! (Ha!) As the old Viking proverb says: "Boundin er batlaus madur". (Bound is the boatless man!) Tom- I think it is great that you bought a one man canoe. Your trip reminds me of a lake nearby in Pennsylvania where I live. I love to take my kayak into the reeds and quiet eddies of the lake to see the birds and water Lilly’s. I imagine you feel like a young boy being able to have the freedom to canoe wherever you like. Just got myself an old canoe to add to my fleet of kayaks, she's going to need a little reconditioning. My plan is to make her as good as new. This is going to have to wait, she is still sea worthy but I have our annual kayak camping trip, now with a canoe in three days (can't wait ). She should make carrying my frost river pack ,cooler and dry bag a little easier. I love both but I feel that, as a viewer, the forest videos are more immersive. It's hard to feel the water and the total change of perspective and soundscape on camera. In the woods, sometimes I think I can smell smoke, coffee and bacon and feel the gentle breeze and dappled light on my skin :)
