Prob not when she thinks she's well rounded 😢
@bernardocisneros44022 ай бұрын
@@psi6028 I love watching her fight and she has a great personality. I agree that she's not s well rounded MMA fighter. Her grappling skills are far superior than her striking but I think she tells herself that to feel more confident. I don't agree with it because trying to do something you think you're better at than you really are can get you into trouble; especially in MMA. At every fight, she should focus on taking it to the ground immediately like Khamzat did with Whittaker. Khamzat knew it would be a long night and possibly lose to Whittaker if he stayed on his feet so he focused on his strengths and took Whittaker to the ground and finished him. Erin needs to do the same thing and leave the footwork for training until she gets really good at it. That's how Shevchenko beat Grasso their last fight. Valentina knew her best chances were on the ground. Boring fight, yes but it's a win for Val.
@psi60282 ай бұрын
@@bernardocisneros4402 yea my problem is her cockiness. She said Valentina's grappling are just 'basic' and then she fought Manon und looked like she never had striking training in her entire life. But she's young and maybe the loss will humble her. But she still yapping about being well rounded which looks quite delusional. Her grappling is delicious but her striking against elite competition is garbonso and she needs to work on that.

Erin has great grappling but has no stiking at this level. She will need to step up that part of her game if she is going to be a real contender.

Her teammate, Fatima Kline, has modeled her fighting style after Rose's and you can tell from her fight against Jasmine Jasudavicius. I wonder how that'll factor into this fight.

Fatima Kline is far from Rose Namajunas . We are talking about someone who knocked out Zhang Weili cold here
@The_Isaiahnator2 ай бұрын
@jackreacher2095 I'm not talking about skill level, just the footwork, feints and punch selection. Watch her fight against Jasmine Jasudavicius to see the similarities. Fatima even admitted to being inspired by Rose's fighting style.

Honestly. I feel like rose didn’t really have a problem at 115. She basically gifted the decision to Carla Esparza but she could have won. She had 2 wins over the current champion.

@ I agree 100% bro. But you mean to tell me that the rise that fought Carla recently was the vintage rose? Honestly she just practiced her footwork for 5 rounds while Carla took her down 2x
@Sc-Runner2 ай бұрын
@@michaelbarquet4169 the Rose that fought Carla was certainly not vintage Rose. I just think vintage Rose is long gone. She was pretty boring and safe recently against Ribas and Cortez. She still has the skills to win fights by decision that way but who wants to watch it? Maybe she will surprise us against Erin

Can't wait to watch these 2 ladies go at it on Saturday. I'm sure they will put on a good show. Rose will be trying to stay standing but I hope Erin takes it to the ground ASAP. If the fight stays on the feet, I'm pretty sure Rose will win, but if it goes and stays on the ground, Erin will get the W. My pick is Erin by rear naked choke.

Shit I gotta take back her Jersey card, she doesn’t know who The Boss is?? Believe me it’s not an age thing, if you’re from Jersey you’ll be inundated with Boss references and have no choice to know who Bruce is. I’m thinking she spends a lot of time training and not listening to music.

@@toddjohnson5176 I think I've watched all of her interviews since she's been in the UFC and I never inferred nor did she ever even imply that she's doing this for the money or that her primary motivation is money. I think her primary motivation is competing with the best of the best and getting the championship belt at flyweight. Of course she has to think about money because training and injuries aren't cheap. I'm sure she has to pay gym fees, pay coaches, personal training equipment, and medical bills when injuries need medical attention.
