For the egg rolls you can make them on egg roll wrappers. You can find them in the produce section typically. The ones in the store are typically small so you can "glue" two together by wetting the edge to be "glued" with a wet finger and placing the second on top. Then fill and use your "glue" to seal them. They are great to bring to parties. Throw some ranch in with salsa for some Mexi-ranch and you are set. 💜 (I get this is a quick hack with items most people have on hand.. just throwing more tips out.) 😊

Yummy. About fondue: Here in the Alps (Italy, on Swiss border) some restaurants have a contraption for that. It is a cradle that support a half of a wheel of Toma (local cheese) with the cut face at 45° and a hot lamp over it. The cheese melt and slide down, you can take it off with a spatula and slather on bread, toasted polenta, grissini, or whatever is in the baskets provided.

Oh, I have seen videos of this and it's nothing short of the most beautiful thing in the world!
@nathaliefischer6792 жыл бұрын
That is actually called „Raclette“ in Switzerland, not „Fondue“. You can also make it at a bonfire. Place the half wheel on a hot stone close to the fire. Than scrape the melted cheese on some potatoes or bread. Voilà. „Fondue“ here in Switzerland is a very common dish in wintertime and not fancy at all. You can have so many different combinations of cheeses and ingrediences. Make sure to put some more garlic cloves in there

Hi there!!! I can't wait to try the 1st recipe. Also Chia seeds were used way back in the day by the Aztecs. They believe they have many "medical" properties. You can throw Chia seeds into pretty much anything. Water, flavor water or aguas frescas, oatmeal, salads and more. People usually eat them to help loose weight because they keep you feeling full longer. However there are many good properties to them. I used to eat them in my oatmeal in the mornings. It helped me a lot since I have IBS. Research them and hopefully they can help you.
@ErinRobinson2 жыл бұрын
Well, I am going to keep them around because the bag I bought was like $7 and I can't throw it out, lol!!! Do you feel like you eat them daily??
@mariasalgado28182 жыл бұрын
@@ErinRobinson I did used to eat them daily because they are also a really good source of iron and for a couple years I didn't really eat meats so that helped me with my iron levels. Now that I try to eat more meets I'll eat it every so often. I will throw a little in a smoothie or in a lemonade. Since it has no flavor I didn't mind them. The texture if you let them soak is not the greatest, but I do know you don't have to let them soak if you want to eat them.
@ErinRobinsonVlogs2 жыл бұрын
@@mariasalgado2818 Oh! This is SO interesting!!!! So, you can just eat them BEFORE they swell up??
@mariasalgado28182 жыл бұрын
@@ErinRobinsonVlogs yes you can totally eat them before they get very jelly. The more you soak them the more jelly consistency they get. Like I said people eat them in salads and stuff like that. Remember if you are trying to loose weight or so people let them soak so they can feel more full because the Chia seeds expand/get jelly.

For the chia seeds, I only have them every now and then, but I like to make chia puddings. I just add a tablespoon of seeds, with 0.5-1dl of whatever milk you have (lactose free, almond, coconut, etc), you can adjust for preferred texture/thickness, and then I add in some vanilla sugar. Stir on and off for about 10mins, then let it sit in the fridge overnight. Then top with some fruit in the morning! It can still feel a bit slimey, but eating it like pudding definitely isn't as bad as that drink looked lol!
@ErinRobinson2 жыл бұрын

I make a 'chia pudding' for my mother which is 1/8 cup chia to 1 cup almond mylk and 1/2 tsp vanilla essence. (I think that's the right quantities but I lost the recipe and tend to make it up as I go along and see by eye and how it feels). Stir constantly for 15 mins so it doesn't clump. The consistency still looks pretty blegh to me, as does the colour, but it's another option if that's something you're into. She tops it with blueberries or peaches and raspberries, but any soft fruit would work. Keeps in the fridge for a day or so as well, so you can make it at night to have it ready for breakfast the next day. I've seen a couple of articles warning about the TikTok Chia trend - basically saying it could work, but it could also cause bloating, discomfort or even bowel blockages. I've also seen a lot of nutritionists saying this 'hack' is a good idea, so, take it with a pinch of salt *shrug.* But I'd rather the warning was out there than sit here silent and later down the line go, "Oh, I wish I'd said something before x happened." :)

With the chia drink … what if you drank it first thing in the morning? Because it will still soak up the water and be filling as it enters your digestive track. Personal preference: I make oatmeal in the microwave on power 5 for six to six and a half minutes with a table spoon of chia seeds. I put a full cup of water or really, just saturate the oatmeal to the level I want it to expand to. Then I add the flavors I want … sometimes frozen blueberries if I want a little sweetness or local honey drizzled on top to combat allergies. I also add a lite pour of milk or milk alternative to cook it down if I’m really hungry. I also add a spoonful of peanut butter. I’m a school teacher and this will hold me through to the end of the day … it’s always good to be prepared as a teacher. It also keeps my energy up all day.

I gotta say, that viral egg sandwich idea has been out for a while and every time I see it, it grosses me out. I have no problem putting scrambled eggs or an omelette on a sandwich or with french toast, but that to me never looks good.

Do you taste the chia seeds in your protein shake? Like, can you sense the texture of them?
@user-wA32x7rs62 жыл бұрын
@@ErinRobinson hey , you do feel the texture in smoothies. I normally don’t add more than 2 tsp in my smoothie and it’s fine for me. I’ve gotten use to it over the years.
@derryXDINES2 жыл бұрын
@@ErinRobinson no because there's so much to mask it. Also once you add protein powder which probably has a thickener, banana, and other thick textures, is hard to notice.

@@derryXDINES Ahhhh I see...I'm interested. I think it could for sure work to mask it!

does the Chia Seeds drink make u lose weight?🤔
@ErinRobinson2 жыл бұрын
I've heard it makes you stay full, longer but I think that's a general diet thing, versus just this drink. I can attest it makes you very regular, which honestly is amazing!

I’m a bit confused. Why this dish is called egg rolls when there r no eggs in it? 🤔

Oh man, Erin.... Be careful with the chia seeds. They can make you SO bloated and can make you feel just awful.
@ErinRobinson2 жыл бұрын
Woah, really?!? Even just a couple of tablespoons???
@KrmtFrog982 жыл бұрын
@@ErinRobinson They say to start slowly with one tsp and see how you feel. Your video had funny timing as my mother-in-law and I were just talking about this. She was trying something she had seen on TikTok and was having two tablespoons a day and she said after a few days she felt really horrible because I guess that chia seeds draw all the water out of your GI tract and just can be too much too soon, I guess. Sounds like they're a great source of fiber and omega-3s but knowing that she just went through this like a week ago I just thought I'd throw the cautionary tale out there for you. 💕 Thanks for all the content, I've been watching your videos since you left Clevver.

@@KrmtFrog98 Thank you so much for sharing this!!!! I had NO idea chia seeds were this powerful. A few of you commented about the bloating but it seems like even a little bit of them can cause some serious problems!

So many things wrong with this video... That is not fresh mozzarella in your pizza bits... You should never fry things in Olive Oil; it has too low of a smoke point... Soaking Chia Seeds in just water can give you some nasty gastro affects... oy vey
