@@erinwrightwriting Oh, one thing I learned the hard way (in other words, I wasted a lot of time until I realized this). If you create a button to a specific page and, in the Options, identify the landing page, and LATER the landing page has shifted from (say) 22 to page 23, the linked landing page has updated to 23, but the Option written landing page hasn't. Because of the latter, I assumed that the former did not as well. But I happened to have glanced at that before deleting it and saw that it was fine. If you ever do this again, you may wish to add that.

Hi, I have added button that is located on top of a text and covering it. It set it on Mouse Down to hide the button.. Saved the file I don't see the button. Only when I click to add new button it shows the old buttons. What am I doing wrong? I am using the Acrobat Pro CC 2023 version. thanks

Hi, I have created a button in all pages of pdf with 'button property action (view > page navigation > previous view)' For ex, in my current page (page no 5), if I did zoom in/out, then when I click on button. My expectation is it should go to previous page, but it's doing zoom in/out. Can I know how we can ignore zoom in/out, while click on button.

Thank you for watching! Not all of the desktop features work on mobile, so I am afraid my only advice is to test it out on your phone before sending it to others. If it doesn't work on your phone, I encourage you to report that issue to Adobe. I wish you all the best with your PDF project!

I'm learning from your tutorials. I've created a button and distributed across all pages per your tutorial. It allows me to click on it and return to the first page. I've decided I do not want it anymore. How do i delete it from every page? (400 page document) Thank you.

Hello, Steve. Is this distributed button the only interactive element in your PDF? If so, you can open the Rich Media toolbar, select Select Object, right-click the button, select Select All, right-click the button again, and then select Delete. However, don't use that method if you have other interactive elements because they may be deleted also. If you do have other interactive elements, there is an advanced method for deletion, but it will take a bit for me to type it out, so let me know. Best of luck!

Okay, sorry to hear that. Here is the more advanced method: Tools tab > Prepare Form > AZ (in the Fields section in the right-hand pane) > Alphabetical Order. You should now see your buttons listed Button1#0, Button1#1, Button1#2, etc. Select the first one in the list. Press Shift as you select the last one. Once they are all selected, right-click and select Delete. Best of luck!

My understanding is the the button can open another pdf file, but not an excel file, correct? I tried but is not working out.

That is a great question! You can set the button to open an Excel file by selecting Open a File in the Button Properties dialog box. However, the person trying to open the Excel file via the button would need to have Excel installed on their computer.

@@erinwrightwriting Thanks Erin for the prompt reply. I created a button for an embedded pdf file and works fine when I click on it. I then created another button using the 'Open a file' and it opens properly after clicking on it on the PC I created the pdf file. But when I tried the same pdf file on another PC it tells me it can not find the xcel file. (the button for the pdf opens OK). Am I missing something.? I embedded the xcel file and it opens properly when clicking on the attachment pane. I would be great if it open after clicking the button feature.

@@ernestogold3494 Hi, Ernesto. The Excel file will need to be stored in an accessible location (such as cloud storage or a shared server) before creating the link. Otherwise, it will only be accessible on the computer where it is stored.

@@erinwrightwriting That makes sense Erin. If I open the main pdf in anther work PC then it works. But unfortunately seems that it won't open if I send the main pdf to an external customer/user. I will need to embed the xcel file in the pdf and add a text comment directing them to the attachment pane to open it. Agree? Many thanks for your advice.
