I don't know why everybody uses cloud step. Rock solid is one of the best tools in the game for me. It's basically an easy perfect block that staggers opponents and uses so little mana

@@hitoyoshizofa rock solid becomes amazing once you get the right build for it. on it's own it is kinda mid. also cloud step is just so much more convenient. you can comfortably get away from your enemy, catch a breather, drink your gourd/medicine, summon your clones or use your fan or whatever. and then also finish with a surprise attack that usually staggers

I like how rock solid pairs so well with thrust stance, you can instantly thrust after a successful parry and whirl to engage immediately. Such bread and butter combo.

@@Syahburei of course! You just don't do the heavy smash everytime after the rock solid parries. I would personally wait for 4 focus points to do an instant heavy after parries or use the focus points outside of rock solid in other ways

Erlang is the only boss in the ENTIRE game that I've really struggled with. I've beaten nearly every boss, just missing a few chiefs. Broken Shell was nothing compared to Erlang, this video has definitely helped me learn the timings of and how to deal with certain attacks, gotta apply this to my gameplay now 😂 beautiful gameplay btw I'm aiming to get this good at some point

You can deflect most of his attacks but don't use it against the grabs haha. He will also try to counter your rock solid with a followup afterwards but they are not that hard to dodge.

The Best Setup against Erlang is the one in the first Fight thats prob why you have the Spells the Game allways gives you Hints and Tips if you watch on wich Ability is the best against each Boss or wich Curious etc..

Rock solid is so much like Royal Guard Down to the fact that it's hard to master without getting beat up but if you master it the game gets incredibly easy and you look like a pro while do it.

@@PannyLanny I’ve done Erlang on 10th cycle. Their damage and health capped after 6th cycle so it’s really not that different, especially for no-hit videos. They just take longer. For normal play yea it’s a lot harder

Great video... VERY impressive!!! One quick question. What skill tree tree option(s), curio(s), etc. are you using to keep your mana so full, and how are you able to regenerate Qi so quickly to keep using the transformation as quickly?

@@youthfulspirit_ thank you! The mana regen of rock solid comes from its last talent and one relic. If you maxed out both it gives you full mana refund if you have successfully parried. Curios are all damage + amber beads for more focus. Non-able has very low Qi requirement so inherently it comes back very fast if you keep attacking the boss.
