I was the Tartan lady that asked the last question in this video. As a Wham and GM fan of 40 years it was a very proud moment to ask Andrew a question. Without Andrew there would have been no George Michael. I am forever grateful for that.

I really don’t think so , George came from a very strict family , that’s why he was so shy , he was very young but he knew he had talent , he would have made it on his own like he did it when he went solo , he didn’t need any one , just like he wrote careless whisper on a bus when he was 16 , what did Andrew contribute to wham , he let George do all the work while he played around !!!!!!!

Andrew is a class act. The song "Freedom 90" that George did on his "Listen without prejudice" album is about WHAM! splitting up and the verses are talking directly to Andrew. But he does so in a reflective and friendly "Can you believe we achieved all that, we were on top of the world mate!" But the "I think there's something you should know." parts of the song are more serious, revealing his inner struggles. "I don't want to be that guy from WHAM! anymore."

@dawntownsendable4 жыл бұрын
He’s not doing any of this to self promote, make money (he has plenty) or because he always wanted what George had. He’s envious of George’s talent, not jealous. Big difference. He’s doing this merely to honor his memory in a loving way & divert the attention back to the good things rather than what they’ve become since George passed away. To tell their story for the younger generations to know. It might serve you better to brow beat David Austin who’s most certainly making his money (as always) off the back of George. He (along with or rather with the blessings of) George’s sisters are quite commercial in their attempts at promotion. Yes, promotion rather than legacy.
@darrenrichards26104 жыл бұрын
@@patmath2506 Having been fortunate enough to have met George while I worked at Wembley Stadium I got to ask him a couple of questions backstage and I can say this, George said without Andrew there would have been no Wham and not just that, it was Andrew that told him it was time to let Wham go and he was always grateful to him for that. Andrew has always respected the privacy of George and indeed of himself. He gets the royalties from Careless whispers and I think Last Christmas too and took away over 5 million from Wham at the end. Money is not his motivation for this and without knowing George but having met him I do think this would be something he would approve of.
