Dude, Quan Chi is SO important to the story of MK. In the original timeline, he started the whole beef between Scorpion and Sub-Zero. He also revived Shinnok. In this timeline he created Ermac. When he shows up, stuff gets crazy.

Personally I like that he’s very likely becoming a hero again just like the original timeline where he joined the heroes and saved them from Onaga’s control then joined the forces of light during the final battle of Armageddon.

Ermac is more good in this timeline though I'd say, just doing it on his own terms. His banter with Reptile proves this "We believe for the better" and he doesn't seem fond of Shao....I would say he's more neutral good honestly, but also a loner doing it on his own terms. A bit depressing but awesome at the same time.

Ermac is a they. But since he appears more male and is physically just one being we just call him he. Ermac already refers to himself as "we" so technically the pronouns would be they/them.

I think the King Jarrod angle is stupid, forced, and contrived. Ermac's design does look fuckin sick though! I haven't watched his gameplay yet because I'm waiting to play as him :)
