It's a throwback to their origin. Reptile being originally a hidden character and Ermac( Error macro) being just a error code message that got people speculating he's another hidden character which they ended up creating. In a way Reptile created Ermac.

Because it's noticeably slower than the kameo reversals and looks different. Go lab it. It's not just movado coming out faster either notice how Ermac comes out of block stun much faster than a normal reversal

Max mentioned the faster gameplay speed. I also noticed it watching Ketchup. I thought maybe at first it was because of him using .25 playback speed that when he went normal it looked faster, but the increased speed is looking likely. I think we all want to see this game begin to climb to its potential.

@Zabor-ny3co making it more dynamic is always better. That's why mkx was so good. Mk11 was fast paced but the inability to combo and the crushing blows mid fight were terrible. Mk1 gameplay is already good. Making it more fast paced will put it close to mkx

A good buff to shujinko is to make the punch a ambush that only does the half kameo move and the kick a summon that does the full kameo move

Here's a crazy idea, maybe you can use your assist for pushback but it uses all the kameo meter for both players and you have to have your meter full in order to function

I totally agree with you, i really want that Ermac Patch brings those changes. But being real, they probably will do small changes to see how the gameplay feels and maybe in the Mavado Patch they start change more the kameos, Every DLC kameos have been new in some way and a lot more fun to use than the base game ones. I love the game, play a lot, have a great time, but it's really feels like an Early Acess Experience. when the game releases Takeda or even the Story DLC that we probably gonna see how the final product should be.

Now, on top of the gameplay generally seeming faster, I did notice that ermacs fatal blow startup animation was definitely shorter (quicker?) so mmmaybe it’s overall faster. I suspect I saw the evidence of quite a few changes in this trailer, and everything is about to change…

1:37 i think it's the best way to describe mortal kombat 1. Combos and creativity are the best aspects of MK1 but there is some issues and mechanics that should be adressed. Overall i love this game and it's pretty much the only fighter i can play somewhat well but i have some other games i would rather play to have fun than MK1

I think the defensive mechanics are just right for Mavado, a good argument to sell the pack, the speed of the game hasn't changed, it's Ermac who is fast, the only thing that cheers me up is the new moves for characters who are not DLC characters but I think they take too long for this kind of buff when it's for nerfs they are hot eh you see at once everyone who eats a nerf but the buffs are really rare, I think this game will be drinkable in 3 years minimum

When Kameos first came out I asked myself why they didn’t roll out completely being Ambush assist types. Now it’s clear that would make a LOT of characters overpowered zoners. Like imagine Lui Kang summoning sarena without the pose. I know you’re saying it based on the assumption they’d rebalance the game. However, I think it’d be much easier for the developers to give every kameo one melee type ambush move (similar to what mavado has). But no more projectiles..,please😂

Listen I just wanna play MK. If they make the game better then dude…I’m here all day if I can be. I just wonder how this will effect Raiden? He’s my main (since forever, he’s my favorite MK character of all time) and I hope he gets new stuff. If they’re really changing the game, then I hope his hidden mechanic, you know the bright eyes thing, can be explained because I still have no clue what it does and I have feeling it’s just an unfinished part of the game. EDIT: I don’t agree with Kameo ambush assist take. All hell would break loose if they turn everything into ambush assists. Look imagine it, imagine Stryker with no restraints and he’s already broken now. Imagine getting hit with a random mix whilst blocking a combo? IMAGINE THAT? That sounds like hell. Or Sareen with her stupid daggers being thrown mid combo and you forced even worse then it is now into a mix up and there’s nothing you can do? This take is terrible imo. This above everything would definitely ruin the game.
