When I was a teenager, I used to sneak and listen to country music. Couldn't have my parents know I liked their music, too. They're in their 80s now; last week, I told them about listening to their records when they weren't home. I thought they'd never stop laughing.

Watching these videos gives you a brief look into yesterday and a chance, once more, to listen to those wonderful artists who have passed on. It's been said that a person dies twice - once when the last breath leaves his body and again when the last person who knew them dies. These talented performers were loved by one and all and will live forever.

No problems I have a lot of these CFR videos, like Johnny Russell said in the very first one of these recorded back in 1997 that they grew up in the golden age of country music, bit like that George Jones song "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes" because all of the country music from this era and these people was the very best of country music!

I had the good fortune, and honor to record Ernie's last two albums at my studio and I played most of the instruments on those projects ... plus I got to know Ernie very well during that time as I took a shift as a DJ on one the radio stations he owned, and I played guitar with him on several live performances, including the Grand ole Opry. He really was a unique Jem of a man. They just don't make 'em like Ernie any more. Ernie, I miss ya my friend.

Earnie did the right thing. That’s old school marriage vows (for better or worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, love honor & obey, etc.) . That makes him more of a man than this younger generation can brag about. I love this song. Number 1 most country played artist in Europe that’s magnificent. In the Alabama country music hall of fame also is great. Oh I’m quite sure he’s in the h.o.f. in Nashville Tennessee
