Prayer is one of the most beautiful songs ever written for cello, according to the master cellist Steven Isserlis. It was composed in 1924 by Ernest Bloch. Together with the movements Supplication and Jewish Song it is part of the piece From Jewish Life.

Incredible job. Cellos surpass the senses and physical properties of sound. I interviewed a friend in a nèws article oñce ,shedding light on this phenomenon. Dr. Klement Hambourg.
