For those who don't know, Ernest Tubb recorded around 100 singles between 1941 and 1984.

I went to Mortuary school in the mid seventies in Nashville, always went to the mid nite jamboree because it was free, couldn't afford much else as a student. I was always amazed at how Mr Tubb was so kind to his fans, signing autographs as long as anyone want one. Very kind man. I also worked at the funeral home there, I believe George Morgan is buried in the same cemetery. Thanks for the video.

His nephew Glenn Douglas Tubb that just passed, was also one of nice guys of Nashville. He kept the "midnight jam" going from the store at Opryland.

There was a guy who walked up to Ernest once & told Ernest that he could sing all of his songs better than him & Ernest responded by saying to be honest most people can & Ernest told that guy that he thought it was wonderful that he was blessed with that talent & told the guy that might take him somewhere someday 😊

My late Mom was a big fan of Ernest Tubb from the late 50's. She got me interested in Ernest' music and other Country Artists playing their music. I toured Ernest Tubb Record Shop in Nashville in 1990. It was incredible!

My late father was a Korean War veteran from the Cook Islands and he was such a big fan of Ernest Tubb, he always talked about that time he visited the troops, and would play all of Ernest songs 🎵 . You really captured the man and his character Jordan much appreciated 🤗💛👍

I used to go to Nashville all the time, one of my favorite places. I love the old feel and great history. Old downtown was my favorite. Haven’t wanted to go in a long time because of the all the partying and disrespect to such a historic place, so sad what it’s turned to. No wonder why Tubbs had to close. The last time I went about 3 years ago, I knew never again.

Hi Jordan, what a nice photo in front of the tour bus. I would have been so annoyed if I never met my idol and then they passed away. How lovely of Jimmy's widow to have gifted that guitar to Ernest aswell. Great vlog Jordan.

This was fascinating to me, since I work for several years with Ernest Tubb’s daughter Erlene and her son Ryan. She always spoke with great respect of her father, and both of them were lovely people to work with.

My Aunt Mary Louise (under the stage name of Lori Talbott) worked w/ Tubb in the C&W musical "Hollywood Barn Dance" which was produced by her then-husband Jack Schwarz. I thought it a rather nice curious piece.

Jordan, Thanks to your previous Ernest Tubb record store video I found out about its closing. By coincidence my step Daughter visited Nashville a few days later. I had her stop in the store and she got me a T-Shirt. I saw Ernest and Lorreta Lynn at the record shop but sadly I was too young to remember much about the experience. My parents did take some good pictures though.

Wonderful vlog. I know you try to be as respectable as possible when you are in cemeteries. As long as you don't step on the plaques it should be ok. Thank you for all you do for us. All this traveling and research, not to mention all the time it takes to edit these vlogs. Takes a lot of your time. I'm very thankful for your vlogs. You and Jah Stay safe and take care.

My Dad took me to see Ernest Tubb in 1974 at the Old South Jamboree when I was 10 y/o. and even went backstage to see him before the show. He paid special attention to the kids there and stooped down to talk to me and sign an autograph. He asked my name and what song I'd like to hear. I told him 'Walking The Floor' was my favorite song and my name was BILLY. Later when he played it dedicated it "here's on for MILLIE" Daddy took me to get my hair cut the next day!!!

I met Mr. Tubb Sep - 1968 at Horseshoe Bend, AR. I was 14. We arrived early - I saw Mr. Tubb's bus pull in and several men get out. I looked through the door and saw Mr. Tubb sit down in the driver's seat. I raised my camera - to take a picture of him. Someone pointed me out and Mr. Tubb opened the door and said "I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't take a picture of me with my hat off. I'm Ernest Tubb. What's your name, son?" I told him my name and that he was my second favorite country singer. He asked me who was number one. I told him he probably wasn't old enough to have heard of Jimmie Rodgers. Someone snickered in the back, and he gave them a sour look, turned back to me and said "He's my favorite singer, too" . I now have a complete set of his 78 RPM records. and two autographed pictures of him. Thank you, Mr. Tubb - for being so nice to me.

Love this story whether it's true or not, one night at the Grand Ole Opry, Ernest Tubb had so much fun performing for the fans that he actually pull a gun out and shoot the clock to stop the time and keep on performing! 😆 I thought that was funny story, I also love that he got to play himself in Coal Miners Daughter movie as well.🤠
