Received my orders to report for the draft, 1965, just met my wife, oh i didnt want to leave her, but i went and got checked for the physical, i had a problem with my leg and got the 4 f, rejected for duty, i often think about the ones with me in that long line who went, as for me i went home and continued my normal life, back then you were forced to go, today its optional, 58000 lives for what i feel looking back was a war that never should have happened, i dont feel that way about any other war we have fought, so if you never had leave all you hold dear and go off to a strange land to fight, thank GOD as i have all these years, 😢
