Oh best news ever. I fractured my ancle back in 09 after a motorcycle wreck. I was so thankful for not getting screws or pins in there. I didn't need surgery and it all turned out great. God Bless!!!

I went to an orthopedic Dr who wanted to operate. Then I found the best foot Dr and he said no operation. Hope you avoid surgery as it will cause complications in the end. Hang in there, you will heal up.

I guess it IS time to say honestly: I subscribed to your channel Erin... before I finished watching the very 1st video YT recommended me - for God knows whatever reason (the reason part is about YT recommendation, NOT about me subscribing, more about that later). And the thing is.... I barely subscribe to any channel, definitely NOT doing this casually, often remove subscriptions from channels i do not follow anymore. You however is different. In what way you ask? Well........... you're GENUINE. Inspiring. Very simple and sincere. I'm a Leader of a VERY big Team in one quite big IT company, and my day to day job is............. to INSPIRE people to do what they LOVE to do, to be a Leader, not a Boss or Authority. I've been doing the thing long enough to teach others these simple things via training sessions and courses. That's why I have that "nose" for people like you Erin. Today, about 5 hrs ago, I completed my biggest course to date that lasted for 12 weeks, and got a standing ovation from the audience of almost 100 smartest and brightest people of the company I work with. The most common "thank you" today sounded like this: "Peter, thanks for INSPIRING me to become the better version of myself / to do my job better / to lead the people properly" etc. etc. etc. INSPIRATION is the word of the day. But Erin, the truth is.............. YOU inspired me so many times during those long weeks of preparation, struggling, having NO idea at times what to say the other day in front of those 100 people. How that was possible? Well, I just opened your channel and was INSPIRED by the way YOU overcome difficulties far more demanding and complicated comparing to what I do. And you do you not with ease - but with determination. With strong and GREAT will many MEN must be crying for, oh trust me. Wow, no surgery for you!!! What great news. I'm a Rad/CT Tech and I like the strategy of the Orthopedic Surgeon to not do an open reduction of your left 4th metatarsal to eliminate any chance of a post operative bone infection. I think because you are young, your fractures (especially the non displaced fracture of the proximal 5th metatarsal) will heal up easily. The 4th will be a little more challenging due to the comminuted type injury. Best of luck to you Erin!!! Sending positive vibes your way. Please keep us updated with your 6 week X-Rays, so we can compare the two.

I’m glad you don’t need surgery. I broke the outside two bones in my foot and had to have surgery. The downtime was pretty long. I had a knee scooter like that too. It was a big help and fun. Praying for a quick and complete recovery without surgery. 🙏🙏🙏

I just found your channel yesterday and tonight i came to these 2 videos. I am from Texas and here in the south we just say "bless your heart". Which when translated means bless your heart and we all know your too smart for this to happen to again. Is that the nice way to say it? Yes, it is. OK. Oh, sorry I was just talking to myself. You have my empathy as I had a really nasty farm accident eight years ago which left me with a fully broken leg. We all make mistakes even if we think we are taking full care. Medical staff are wonderful, all there to get you better. My surgeon said he loved farmers as they have a can do attitude to recovery. Remember looking at the tractor when on crutches and wearing a "cam boot", how do I get into that thing? I achieved . Good luck. PS I think we do beat ourselves up somewhat with guilt when we have an accident. I think what I put my wife and family through. Cheers!
