WOW! That is a really nice place! That would be my dream home! I wish that my house was as nice and roomy and well organized! When I retire I plan to build a "Barndominium" out in the country which will be very similar to that but not nearly as huge! One thing mine will have is an indoor pistol/shooting range! Thanks for sharing this, Miss Erin! I hope that you are feeling much better!

Wow!... A place for everything and everything in it's place!... That's what uncompromised planning looks like!... and I rather imagine your father when he goes to replace a part, he buys at least two of them because if it broke once... I say at least two because of all the buildings and equipment he maintains... Time is his most valuable ally because when it is thought out and well spent, it pays dividends!... It would be most advantageous for anyone yourself included to pay attention to his footprint of where he has traveled because he doesn't make step one without having thought about which direction he's going... Much respect!... Thanks for your documenting it!...

Thanks for the tour! Great job, you are really good at this. The planning and execution of your Dad’s shop is quite impressive. It must have been quite an investment but considering the amount of equipment y’all have, it’s probably an absolute necessity. The heated floor is one of the neatest things I have seen. The Farm Logo is a real nice personal touch that confirms the dedication ya’ll have to your farm business. Thanks again Erin for letting us into your world. Our repair shop was an old dairy barn. Each cow stanchion held assorted pieces of steel and cast iron. One of the guys set part of the barn on fire while welding. I have noticed a lot mid-western farms have shops with heat, smooth concrete floors and some kind of machine to clean the floors. Meanwhile, we used a broom, which my grandfather told me as a kid, is a hand held device I would never master. Eventually I learned, I clean my garage with a big mop, a leaf blower and a Swiffer Wet Jet.

Thanks for the tour! Interesting that so much of the shop is storage space, upstairs and the ground level. But then again, with any business there's always storage needed. Tools and equipment storage, finished goods/products storage, storage for replacement parts and equipment. And everyone needs storage for personal items! Love the bowling alley lane for a work bench top! Freaking awesome idea! Repurposed for another whole lifetime! You look beautiful as always! 😍😍😍 how's the vitamin infusion, hope thats working well for you! Can't wait to see what's next!

Your shop is WAY bigger than I thought it was, so nice and well thought out, the order you keep your things in, is amazing..I am one of these types that spread my tools around me when I work in the garage, so its mostly always a mess in there and I misplace things all the time but its still working and has the things needed I especially liked that part with the way to be able to put up pallets on the second floor, so simple but yet som handy!

Your dad is great at what he does. I like your place, I like classic wood or a cottage/farm setting. My parents are and we’re the same way. My dad passed in 2009 of esophageal/ kidney cancer but his spirit lives on through me. Many people think that I look like him too. His family were farmers and my mom’s family were restaurant/ gas station/ rod & gun shop owners in Northern Ontario Canada. I remember walking into my grandfather’s store and seeing all the fishing rods and guns, I was like a little boy in a candy store. My mom had to keep me away from everything. My grandfather liked to keep a few loaded. Lol Good night Erin, sweet dreams, you’re probably on Central time and I’m eastern.

I have installed quite a few radiant heat systems like you have in shops your size and larger. It's the only way to go. You pull in a piece of equipment at the end of the day, even if it's covered in snow and by morning it's melted off and dry, ready to work on. I also have old bowling allies for counter tops in my house. I'd fit right in there. ;)

I remember all the farmers in the district I grew up in were mechanics by necessity. They were always having to fix something, or weld something.
