Of all the things Ernie is famous for, I find the fact he calls people (like John the example he gave) to help them with their cancer the most respectable thing about him. It's small things like that which show you the true character of someone. As big as EJ is, as successful as he is, the fact he will give time because he believes he has a responsibility to help randoms with their cancer, it is so humbling and admirable to hear it. Damn Ernie got me in tears…my mother was diagnosed with non Hodgkin’s lymphoma a few years back…I had 2 young daughters at the time…I’m actually the one who shaved her head when the chemo was making her hair fall out….thankfully she’s been in remission for about 3 years now but it was definitely a rough time…but there’s always light at the end of the tunnel
