There are alot of various videos on KZbin right now where you can hear everything you're asking for. Joe's demo of his fractal axefx. Andy's drum rundown video. Patrick has alot of videos of him playing his parts solo. And now this.

Pete is actually a good bassist, ive seen him play live 4 times now and he plays all the basslines for every song they play really well. I have no idea why people keep hating on him.

Me too, it's very mad and angry, but in a very subtle way, like Dexter bringing donuts, to make everyone think he's normal.

*******Keeping it simple really! BASSic as would a Foundation be. A GOOD foundation of Percussion with BASSic anchored itself tightly together and strong provides great Towerings of Rhythm and Melody to Structurally remain Sound! Ya gotta have it! Doesn't always have to be Techy, Mathmatical and mind blowing to be Rock Solid. However...keep it passionate, Emotional and Human!!!*******

Good point! But, it's been done by The Presidents of the United States of America, as well as D.A.D. So, maybe Pete could do something _adjacent_ and just have 1 string.

huge fan of FOB, I don’t hate Pete at all and I like his lyrics but who the f cares about his bass play man. He doesn’t record his part in the studio and he even doesn’t play that bassline on Church during shows.

Pete doesn't record his parts in studio?
@fxEpT7Si
@fxEpT7Si Жыл бұрын
@@carloquibot I don’t know about SMFS or the early days but during MANIA era mostly it was synth bass which I guess was programmed by Patrick or Butch. Even the one’s that has actual bass in it was recorded by them. Just watch the Church breakdown video, Pat talks about how he and Butch came up with the bassline
@michaelpalmer5351
@michaelpalmer5351 Жыл бұрын
@@fxEpT7Si I think it's possible Patrick and the producers play it when Pete can't, but if it's simple enough Pete probably plays it. Though his live performances do make me wonder, as the album/studio bass always sounds way more confident and together.

Bassline are essential in every song.. there is a reason why metallica fans still complain about the missing of the bassline of "and justice for all"
@kleinkaufman8940
@kleinkaufman8940 11 ай бұрын
@@fxEpT7Sifor Mania i do also believe its synth bass and in Church it is plainly stated by Patrick that Butch made the bassline, but for most of the old albums if you separate the bassline you can hear Pete's playing, the tendency to hit every string while muting them, and the streamline bass playing, its mostly him. I came to the conclusion that if there was any bass part that was a little more complex, they( Patrick and whoever would be the producer at the time) would over dub it while keeping Petes work overall on the easiest parts. I can hear this specially in Folie a Deux in songs like disloyal order and wams.
