I never bring more than 4 rods max. I'll cast close medium and far. Then use ultralight spinning rod with a gold or silver plated Panter martin spinner to look for bait fish. I'll use a small gold or silver spinner lure.

Teach the man to cast. Have him practice. Me personally I either do under hand roll cast or cast side arm. Angle rod tip slightly tuck elbow into my side then pull handle into my fore arm. Either cast rig goes a country mile. I'll start 1 rod close 1 rod mid way if I have 3 rods I cast the 3rd 1 far. The one I cast far I'll use my 7ft rod.
