@@HarptoHeart69 they talked about this on João's podcast, it was pretty interesting He basically saw the same if not more engagement for reaction /meme videos for a fraction of the time investment it takes him to make a cover/playthrough. He can stream reaction content on twitch and upload the vod to yt which is an easy two-fer.

Guys I discovered Erra few weeks ago and I can't stop listening to them!
@oscarcarias_43 жыл бұрын
A friend of mine showed them to me when their previous album came out. It was cool, but not enough for me to go back and listen to it. And outta nowhere, a week before this album came out, I randomly decided to look them up, and it was the day this song came out as a single. And I’ve been a fan ever since, and finally understood the old music as well. So cheers to us for listening to a great band. 🤙🏽

@@oscarcarias_4 Same here! Listen to Neon last year. Good album, but nothing that make me come back after a while. A few months ago KZbin Music suggested Eye of God, and I was hooked. When I found out they were about to release a new album I was so excited! Now I am listening to ERRA at least once a week, and I am looking forward to see them live!

Aw hell ya, this is my favorite one. The sorta like, eerie, melancholic and bittersweet ambience especially post breakdown, it feels like riding on a wave. It's so easy to get lost in, and as much as I love music, this track makes me fall in love with music in ways I haven't in quite a long time. Such a good tune.

Jesse’s ability to blend gorgeous Melodie’s with angry riffage and his attention to detail in the perfect placement of every note is what makes him my top guitarist. There are plenty of shredders and noodlers out there like the boys in Polyhia but Jesse is the only one imo who has mastered the incorporation of soul and feeling into his music. Masterful!

Spit out the blood Freeze to the bone when the lonesome mind is whispering Decide it's time to settle in, or begin again Fading in and out again Places I find healing in An ocean's length apart from where I stand Glimpse of light comes shining through this waking dream Glimpse of light comes shining through Sleep cycle synced into phase Rattles your coffin when intrusive thoughts are creeping in Surrogate a home over and over again We will go on fading in and out again Sense of loss that you've been feeling We will go on fading in and out again Sense of loss that you've been feeling Break free Glimpse of light comes shining through This waking dream Glimpse of light comes shining through Sleep cycle synced into phase A friend, a foe, equally familiar Kept close, unified inside the mirror Spit out the blood Spitting out the blood inside my mouth The pain stings, but it brings relief That I can still feel anything at all Spaces I used to find peace, tearing me apart Glimpse of light comes shining through this waking dream Complacencies that we will never seek to replace Spitting out the blood inside my mouth The pain stings but it brings relief That I can still feel anything at all

I was lying in bed after just having woke up from a nap, and I had this song stuck in my head, specifically the part where Jesse sings “The lonesome mind is whispering” and I thought, “Man I really hope Jesse releases the Shadow Autonomous play through sometime soon because that riff in the first verse would be cool to listen to.” I pull up my subscriptions feed and this was right at the top. Feels good man.

Can anyone explain what is happening on the right side between 0:59 and 1:00 when Jesse is kind of sliding up and down 1 string even though he is playing an open chord? I can see he plays a down stroke then up stroke, but is the slide actually changing the sound? Is he muting it/doing a harmonic or something? It just sounds like open chords.

To me that specific part is the summit of the album. Like I never thought that just an instrumental part of one of ERRA’s songs could have the same, if not more, punch as the vocal parts. But that riff right at 3:22 hits me in the emotions so hard every time. It’s not even an especially technical riff, it is just a pure, perfect melody. Jesse can do no wrong 💋🤌🏼
