The greatest friend I've ever had in my entire life passed away last month. We served in the Marine Corps together and spent Christmas in the Middle East once too. Just me and him at work, 12 hours a day, sometimes 7 days a week, no one else. We're both out of the Marines now but we hung out every week after we got out since we both moved to Arizona. I lived near him in Phoenix for the first year we were out, but I moved to California for work in July last year and hadn't seen him since then.. I was going to stay with him for 3 days before I drove home to Arkansas for christmas last month. I ate dinner with him a few hours before he died, and that was the first time I'd seen him since I moved to Los Angeles. He had to go run some errands after we ate, but said he'd be home soon to see me. I was waiting in his driveway later that night and he texted me at 10:59 PM to say, "I'm about to be on my way home, see you soon buddy, I love you" He wrecked his motorcycle at 11:01 PM. I fell asleep in my car at his house waiting for him. I woke up at 7 the next morning to my phone ringing in my lap. It was our old Gunnery Sergeant calling me to break the news...It was so hard to drive away from his house and continue the 20 hour drive home to Arkansas from Phoenix by myself for Christmas.. But I didn't have a reason to stay in Phoenix anymore.. I was lucky enough to have his mom pay for all my travel costs to go to his services in his hometown right before Christmas. I got her number from another Marine after I got off the phone with the Gunnery Sergeant.. I remember her saying, "Blake told me you were his best friend in the whole world so I'll do whatever I have to do to get you up here for him." She had only ever met me one time before that. I have had nightmares almost every night since his passing. I am heartbroken. This was Blake's favorite song. It always makes me think of him. Rest in peace, Blake Justin Newman. United States Marine Corps, 2013-2017. Phoenix Police Dept. Until Valhalla, Warrior.. My sweetest friend.. I love you. Semper Fidelis, Marine. Maybe instrumentals but jesse’s voice is more wailing and can barely hit some of the higher notes live and doesn’t sound good. It does seem better when you are there but if you listen and watch some live performances on KZbin it’s pretty bad. But in the studio and album I absolutely love how his singing and voice sounds on the albums. It’s not that he can’t sing but some of that stuff is just high as hell to sing live for him so he has to just half wail half scream them lol

Excuse me, but it does matter. Jesse is really talented, but Ian didn't fit in as much as JT fits into their style. I really hope JT comes to stay, because the guy kills it live. You're hearing this from an ERRA fan from 2012, I've never listened to Texas in july PRE-"JT in ERRA". I love jesse, but he struggles to deliver live. It's either that or he gets a little lazy on some of the songs. Anyway, JT rules bro give the legend some recognition haha him and Alex are amazineg to watch perform live.

@Jarrod Davis Seriously? You must have absolutely NO idea what it feels like to be standing on the edge of utter hopelessness where death is better than life as it is. Don't EVER call someone weak who is suicidal-suicidal people are the strongest people you'll ever meet. A "normal" person couldn't deal with the deep emotional despair they experience daily.
@Jbl1396 жыл бұрын
@Jarrod Davis I'd much rather be weak than the one who degrades others in the comment section of a KZbin video. Ever heard the phrase, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."? Your insinuation that Cobain wasn't strong is absurd. Could you've handled the stress of fame and addiction as long as he did? Rhetorical question by the way. I'll leave my message at this... I hope that you soon come to your senses as a human and realize that there's more to life than kicking others while they're already down. I can only assume you're 13-16 and don't know how to show compassion yet..and that's excusable..if you're any older....yikes man.. all in all, I wish you the best in your life and that you NEVER have to experience being that low because I know you'd ABSOLUTELY crumble.

Yesterday I woke up for work at 6am and this song was stuck in my head.. couldn't figure out why. I got ready for work as I normally do and couldn't help but put this on as I got in my car and headed for work. Though it was only 630am at that point I had completely wrapped my head around this song and was blasting it as I was driving down the road. The 1st verse kicked in and I started to tear up.. I realized it was this song that was bringing me back to a time when one of my best friends, whom I don't see anymore, would hang out with me almost every day, Skate, play video games, just living it up like best friends could. I don't see him anymore because he chose a life that I don't want to, and cannot be a part of. He was struggling, like many of us, with a lot and found the wrong avenue to alleviate stress and anxiety. I however managed to pull myself from the depression that I was in and quit with all the bad influences in my life. We could no longer be friends. We now live different lives and no longer see each other. It is songs like this that helps me to remember the good times I had with my best friend. I ended up playing this song all day and it was a nostalgic feeling like no other. Brought me to tears. Thank you Erra for your music, I can't explain how much it has helped me. See you in Feb 2023 @ Ace of Spades, Sacramento CA ❤️🔥

@ensco72 жыл бұрын
Lately I've been wondering if metal concerts would be something for me. Considering that in my teens, I was just always on the lookout for good electronic music (I really got into rock only at 17 and into Metal at 22, last year), and that I've never identified with Metal at all until my depression hit a new low, which made me think it's such a cliché that I only got into it at that time. What doesn't suit the cliché is that I'm almost 24 years old now.. But I gotta admit, I really just like the music, I think it's well made. And I've always liked emotional, dreamy, sometimes intense stuff (still some good older electronica I'm enjoying nowadays). Thought that music reaction videos were sad, yet here I am watching lots of them. I'm thankful for them but I still think I just have a huge lack of social interactions, let alone with people that enjoy one of the only things I enjoy. It's weird and being at a concert seems like an even weirder idea to me, why would I listen to my fav band in a setting that guarantees a worse sound (because the band is human, it's live, and the crowd is singing along). Now if we're talking moshpits, I can't comprehend how that's satisfying for anyone. Simply put, I don't get it.
@mylife12212 жыл бұрын
@@ensco7 I feel exactly the same way about reaction videos. I don't have any friends I can show songs to so watching other people react to it on KZbin gives me the thrill as if I'm listening to it again for the first time. And honestly, about concerts: it's just a blissful release being able to sing along with the band, I just can't describe it. Everyone is different so it may not be for you, but for me it definitely was. I felt right at home. I was able to let all my emotions out and there was no-one to judge me, because no-one cared and we were all feeling the same way. I definitely stay out of the pit though, because I don't wanna risk it. I'm fat and small so it's not a good combo lol. But, I was on the edge of the pit in the concert I went to in June and occasionally there would be a huge shove where everyone in my corner would get pushed, but you just kinda bounce off the other people and end up back in the same place anyway. It's really not that bad, and I totally recommend getting a ticket and trying it out. Although, if you do want a friend that appreciates this music as much as you do, feel free to let me know and we can talk because I have seen you around a few times

So me and the wife are going to see Bad Omens on 10/9 and I hate being one of those people who just shows up for the main band. So naturally I did a full dive into ERRA's discography and man I wasn't disappointed. Can't believe I've never heard of them till now. This is by far one my favorite songs from them great vibes! I'm officially an ERRA fan now.
