Not to say she should have 0 consequences because she needs to be held accountable...but people like this need help. I hope her former students are safe and haven't been harmed because of it all. I'd have to disagree with you. If my husband was in charge of children and their safety, let alone special needs children, I would not be covering for him or helping him stay out of trouble. I would fully expect him to hold ne accountable if the tables were turned as well! The amount of people in this comment section acting like this isn't a big deal is mind blowing! People who are under the influence of anything, let alone a hard drug should NEVER be in charge of children and should face all the consequences of their choices!! People have bad reactions all the time to these drugs and become volatile and aggressive. What if a child got hurt in her class or, even worse, she hurt a child because she was under the influence? It's definitely a likely possibility that that could have happened! If your child was in her class would you still feel the same and be taking it as lightly as you appear that you are???

@@evelynne23 To be fair it isn't exactly like she got off (yet) she could easily get several years in prison. @ryantarnasky65873 күн бұрын
maybe if teachers were paid more the profession would attract better quality candidates. You get what you pay for, and for much too long our states have been paying the bare minimum. Pay the bare minimum, get the worst professionals out there. Now, I loved and respected all my teachers, and for a long time growing up, I wanted to join the profession until I realized the low value placed on that profession in our society and the low compensation that came with it. There are great teachers out there and most are in the profession to change lives, not for the money - because there isnt any. However, there is a reason there is a teacher shortage, and with staffing shortages, some positions are filled with extremely sub par candidates. If we want to attract quality teachers, attract them by compensating them adequately. Until then, highly skilled professionals will be drawn to other career choices and pushed away from teaching. To all the great teachers out there, you are an amazing professional, and I admire your dedication. If you are in this field, you really do it for your passion.
