The “top level” fighters he beat were average at best. He beat porter who literally lost to ugas and was a B level fighter at best, danny garcia who is a flat footed fighter who lost to keith thurman and to make it worse those were both split decisions, then he beat ugas and he almost got knocked out in that fight. Spence has no skill he walks forward in a strait line with nothing else. Keith thurman who beat danny garcia just went to a decision with a guy who moved up and got knocked out by tank davis. The reality is the welterweight divsion been on a huge decline compared to what it was 10/15 years ago when guys like shane Mosley, zab judah, floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, maidana, or even marquez were in it its not even close. I pretty much knew what fighter was going to win the fight. I was surprised by how fast Terence Crawford dominated and made it look so easy to finish the fight. Spence Jr. is a one-trick pony, aggressive going forward heating body and head. Well, you need a lot more than that to beat a complete fighter like Terence Crawford. Terence has more tools in his toolbox than a heavy equipment mechanic. Terence Crawford can switch from left-handed to right-handed in a blink of an eye and be dominant in both styles. This was GREAT analysis. I’ve listened to pretty much any interview I can find since the fight ended and no one else was this detailed and spot on. To the point that he said “Bud was carrying him since the 2nd round on”…my gf never saw Bud fight til last night and I pretty much was calling things once the fight started. I said Bud usually starts a fight “slow” that he is gathering information. I said once he figured out Spence’s speed and timing of his jab…that he will start to counter and take over. Well that lasted 1 round. Things happened so fast in the 2nd that I couldn’t even finish my point. Spence looked like he lost apart of himself in there. He just seemed broken. And as much as I was happy to win money off of a couple of people.. betting on this fight. I mostly felt sad for Spence. EVERYONE in his corner let him down. They didn't even help him adjust.

I agree with you his spirit looked especially broken after the fight during the interview as his head was held down. I think if he doesn't improve his defense and overall inability to adapt even at 154 the fight will play out the same way. That accident though in my opinion did do some damage. Of course because of the money he can generate to the sport I don't think that's being pushed to the for front. It should because there's life outside the ring, but when money is involved better judgment isn't often the bottom line. I just don't think he was ready to fight Crawford he's versatile and Errol is one dimensional. That's just not gone cut it with Terrance.

@@ANUBIS1ISM the issue is this his skillset allowed him to win all these years so he never had to adjust. There are any more Buds out there so Spence will be ok. Buds speed and counter ability with power is different. I love both guys. this had to eventually happen now lets see if Spence can fight Thurmanor maybe Tyszu at 154 and Bud can fight Boots then maybe Charlo at 154

Easiest fight of Buds career was supposed to be his hardest. Mean Machine, Porter, Jose, Gamboa, etc. Literally every fight I've ever seen him in he has met more resistance than he did with Errol. He didn't even look like he was in a fight. I promise you he has had better sparring matches with Shakur than that fight. It was embarrassing.

Errol Spence is still an elite level boxer he beats every other 147 boxer but Bud exposes most boxers flaws it's just that simple. There is no shame losing to boxer that brilliant. I will never question his heart and courage ever again. No one in social media land knows what it is like to face Bud Crawford.

Once Spence started to drop his left shoulder to throw his left, Crawford turned it up. Results, 40-0 and the undisputed welterweight champion of the world. Mission accomplished.

During round two when Spence started over reaching to punch I didn't think he would last. Unless he landed a haymaker or two, but Crawford was just the better fighter. Faster and precise. With a strong jab. Hell, just a nightmare for Spence.
