@kakeinfanzon15994 ай бұрын
Saying “period no more debate” and that others are “delusional”just shows that you want people to shut up and not question your logic, something done when people know they have little to no logic behind their argument. It’s a cowards mentally when you know you are speaking from emotions not facts. Kobe could have left and NOT won like KD in Brooklyn and Phoenix or like other stars. The comparison should not be made, I give you that, but it shouldn’t be made because Kobe COULD have won but because the players you said only stayed in 1 successful team/franchise. Bulls had a dream team and a legendary coach, Lakers won before Kobe and got a coach that won before being a Lakers coach. San Antonio has an all time great coach, Warriors already won championships but Lebron won in Cleveland with a good but young and inexperienced coach and with a franchise that had never won anything. Sorry but you are delusional if you think you made a mic drop, people in the podcast proved you wrong but I guess that’s why you don’t want anyone to question you. You can question me, I’m not afraid to make my point that each player has their merit and that Lebron can’t be compared to them because he has done things no one else has. I guess people that play the game, not like you, are delusional for using facts and not hypotheticals like you…. Make it make sense Brandon Berri.

@@kakeinfanzon1599 no more debate means put super stars in categories. Rings hold more value when you get them with the same team that drafted you and you stay with that team through the good and bad years.
@brandonberry79024 ай бұрын
@@kakeinfanzon1599 it does make sense. You claim to be the best player in the world, LeBron said it in an interview. The best player in the world is going to figure it out with his team. Being a superstar and your contract is up and you go win with another team is a different bracket than a superstar that won all their rings with the same team. Please tell me you ain’t that slow to comprehend that simple logic. Has nothing to done with emotions, it’s facts that can be proven
@kakeinfanzon15994 ай бұрын
@@brandonberry7902 Its clear you dont even read your own post and comments since you are providing my point that you are using emotions as a measuring stick and even contradicted yourself. First, LeBron actually won a ring with the team that drafted him. Like you said a superstar finds a way to win, which he did for 3 different teams. Second you ignored most of the points I made and went of topic but I guess that happens when you speak with emotions and not logic. Third saying that I'm slow just shows that you must be even slower but I'm not here to pick on someone that contradicts himself. Also rings won with the same team that drafted you or with the team you stayed with all of your life (remember Kobe wasn't even drafted by the Lakers) are worth more emotionally to a fan base because its an emotional journey. Again your argument that those rings are worth more are based on emotional and on bias preferential. No one says 1 ring is worth more than another, unless you are making an emotional and illogical claim such as yourself. If we are going off your faulty argument Lebrons ring with the Cave, that beet the superstar (Curry) you talk about is probably worth more any championship in history due to the weight of it. Finally most of the superstars you mentioned needed a franchise, hall of fame role players, good draft, free agency and more. Lool at Jordan with Scottie and Rodman, Curry with Klay and KD and so on. Lebron did it, won finals MVP with 3 different teams. AGAIN SINCE YOU DONT READ I agree that the group of players you mentioned are different to Lebron since they stayed with their teams but winning with the team that drafted you doesn't make a championship more valuable, more emotional yes, but it is still just 1 championship. Also Lebron was the greatest player in the world for more than a decade, no one can deny that (unless you are emotional, know little about basketball or a hater) I think you a referring to him calling himself the GOAT. Phil was no coaching prodigy. Krause just really liked him. Jordan and Kobe had to sacrifice numbers in order to win championships. Mike didnt like the system because he didn’t want to lose games with role players handling the ball too much and taking shots. He was hard on his teammates to step their game up instead of running to replace them. They eventually did and he won 6 chips because of it. Kobe bucked the system a lot the first 3 chips, but he stuck with it enough to win 5 chips.

What they failed to mention that LeBron went to Miami and played under Coach Eric Spolstra along with D. Wade and Chris Bosche. Then went back to Cleveland and played with K. Love, K. Irving, JR Smith coached by Ty Lue. Then went to Lakers played with AD, D. Howard, Rajon Rondo, K. Kuzma, A. Caruso, M. Morris, Javale McGee and was also coached by Frank Vogel. In other words LeBron did play within a system with a few coaches.... But he did not play Tex Winters, Phil Jackson triangle system like MJ, Shaq and Kobe.

Skills meaning shooting ability, handles, can get to any spot he wants n score. Great free throw shooter, 3pt, mid range, post up etc. bron relies on athleticism & ball dominance. No real skillset but IQ. His rebounds n assists aren’t skillsets. He literally tells his teammates to move when getting a board n he holds the ball n pass last minute to get an assist. This why he shys away from big moments cuz he lacks creating his own with no real skillset. Reason why he needed wade, kyrie, ad to fill in the void.

The thing is, it seems like they're using two different styles of arguments to defend lebron, and dont do the same for the other two. They're giving the " but you have to add context" argument for the areas where lebron falls short, and the switching to the absolute, raw numbers argument when it benefits lebron. Like you cant say "his 4 rings must be looked at in the context of his teammates and lack of system" and then just say "well he has the most points so end of discussion". Do the same for the other two then. You could easily say "kobe or jordan dont have the most points but context" and then add "and they have more rings, end of discussion". I think thats where Rashad and Gil missed each other. Gil jumps from saying "lebron should get extra points for these circumstances" to "lebron is numerically the best in this category, period"-you cant win a discussion when dude is just gonna change the metric/argument to favor who he has decided should win. If we're looking at it both of these ways, lets do it for all three and stack it up.

Kobe and Jordan were both confined to the system. They had to purposely break the system sometimes in order to win. If they were independent they would be more stat monsters than what they already have done. We can look at the Knicks to see that the system itself doesn’t bring success. It took the two greatest players of all time to put a HEMI in that thing. The system kept the teammates accountable but also made the superstar keep his teammates in the game until it was time to take over.
