Hi friends, here is a note for you. A few of you might not find the comments you posted under this video. That's because I deleted the first Eru video I posted. The video you commented on was missing a part so I had to delete it and put in the missing footage then upload again. Thanks so much to one of you who alerted me about the missing one. So sorry that your comments got lost with the first video. But I read every one of them and I appreciate them. Thank you all for understanding!

Hi, unfortunately crayfish is so crucial in this recipe. My mom always says it is the key ingredient. Can you find dried shrimp, though? That will be the closest thing to crayfish. Also use shrimp seasoning cubes (Maggi) if you can so the flavor is enhanced. Hope this helps.

NO CRITICS BUT JUST TO COMMENT, you have the perfect recipe,. good procedure but your eru is very watery, leave the water to dry out then add the palm oil. if you like it wet then add a little bit of water after the oil. never add palm oil while the eru is still boiling or cooking in the water leaf or spinach. am sure your eru taste nice but it looks watery. try what i mentioned you will see a great improvement on how your eru taste and even looks. and also add a little cray fish when your meat and kanda is boiling not all of your cray fish just a little and let it cook with the fish adds more cray fish taste to the eru and gives it more flavor. then you can add the rest of the cray fish after the oil just as you did. eru seems easy to make but you need to know what to put in and at what time to have the perfect eru. great job babes, i really love your channel i learned how to make njama njama from you . so am also giving you a little tip on eru . i wont comment on how you eat it, its totally wrong but its your style so just enjoy great job

Tabe Ebangha thanks for sharing, dear! I totally get where you are coming from about the eru being watery. But note that I am cooking dried eru in this video. From experience, cooking dried eru the way you mentioned often results in very chewy eru. That's why I let it stay moist - this method works perfectly everytime with dried eru. Also, I don't think there is a wrong way to eat eru. My mom is bayangi and growing up, I was never told my way of eating was wrong. I'm curious - could you please explain what the right way is? Thanks for the crayfish tip! I'll definitely try that.

Precious Kitchen exactly! you where never told but that doesn't mean it's right. Never mine , as I said enjoy. It's your way. I eat it as you do some times but it's wrong but it's better to eat it as you do bcz I do it too. And it way easier. But it's not right am not getting into details of how it should be eaten if you where never told even by the bayangi you have at home then she too doesn't know. The traditional way of eating it is dying out. Am almost forgetting it my self. Your method is easier and I do it too but it's totally wrong. I was never told that I eat Achu the wrong way until some had the courage to tell me and I learnt the right way but still not perfect, so how you eat it doesn't matter the most important is that you enjoy it and it gets to your tummy. Which is why I said I won't comment on your eating style cuz it doesn't matter but if you want to learn the real way to eat eru I will gladly teach you or u can ask real bayangui in your neighborhood

Precious Kitchen my mum never told me either that I was eating it wrong only others told me that I was doing it wrong. So you can also learn from others not only from your mum and not only because she didn't tell you it was wrong. Your right dry eru is kind of weird but let the water dry out and then add in the oil then if you want it wet add water after the oil not before, it makes the eru look like porridge you porridge plantain, the water and oil mixture, And soupy but if you add water after the oil it is barely noticeable. A perfect eru is moist but not soupy as u said and I know it's dry eru so water is necessary but add a little after the oil. Just try it and then let me know how it went. I really love your videos especially the Achu video and the Kati Kati video learned a lot. Thanks a million

Precious Kitchen an also from my experience of cooking dry eru. If you use the right amount if spinach you won't need water just cuz it's dry eru . It will be just perfect and not soupy cuz it's dry eru. It will turn out as the fresh one weather it was soaked in water and baking soda or not

@@tabeebangha1151 you said all of that just to say that you wouldn't tell her the correct way to eat it. Even after she asks you the correct way you turn around and say "I'm not going to get into details..ask someone from your neighborhood." What sense does that make?? You should've just kept your mouth closed or made the correction. Just telling someone they're doing it wrong and not providing the correct way is a waste of time.
