Back then we Filipinos are providing a teaching lessons about mechanisms and varieties of rice. But now we are being supplemented by other countries and being taught on how to use the proper way of harvesting rice. Its because the system that we have, I mean if they taught it back then when we are still the first country doing those kind of things then now I think we are still more likely not depending on other countries when it comes to rice. Its just sad that our farmers still suffering from the short income that they get from harvesting.

But now Erwann did good job to open our eyes to see what was really happenning and talks about the culture and importation and process of rice. We should remain with high hopes that someday we will look up to our local products. Filipinos have colonial mentality.

Big thanks to you Erwan, for showcasing this kind of vlog content. I remember the days when our house became a not so permanent storage of sacks of rice that reached even until our ceiling and occupied our entire house. Not to brag about it but simply being thankful to things we were fortunate enough during those times. Every season of harvest, we do not have any other hopes but to have a bountiful harvest of rice, because my Tatay needs to provide for his family of eleven. He does not have any other means aside from rice and the unstable copra selling. Thankfully for God's grace and love, he was able to send his 10 children to school and becomes individually successful. I am teacher, my other siblings are an architect, engineer, accountant, nurse, criminologists, and a future agriculturist. There's hope in our agriculture, it's just that our local farmers need support, subsidies and assistance. Peace you all.
