Wonderful concept. I know on the CD the song says inspired by a poem by Suheir Hammad called War Drum. It's a dope poem, but has nothing to do with the theme of this song, which I think you're right. But you should check out the poem if you haven't, very inspiring about war. I went to her CD release party for both CDs Amerykah part 1 & 2. She said that both CDs were also inspired by the concepts of war, peace, love, hate and fear. Album 1 represents masculine and 2, feminine. God I love her!

i am SPEECHLESS. this song was my healer like last year june-july. i always wanted her to release it. i use to search the net for performances of it.
