Erzetich Audio gave approval to bend and stretch the headband. I attempted to do that and it did help a little. The biggest discomfort issue are the small pads and the stiff, rigid fit that presses on my ears and glasses. I really don't care for on-ear fit headphones.

Well done! I think your take is pretty spot on. These sound REALLY good but the user experience is marred by fit and comfort issues. Erzetich is a brand that has my attention, though. They are doing well where it counts the most: sound. I think their ergonomic issues will improve over time and I'll be watching their development with interest. Thanks for the review and thanks the plug!

Erzetich is on my radar for sure, would love to hear and review more of their products. You're welcome for the 🔌

I own the Audeze Sine on ear headphones and I love them except for the lack of comfort. I purchased custom pads from Vesper Audio which converted them to over ear and it totally transformed them.

I own a pair of vintage 1987 Yamaha YHD-2, the only on-ear headphone in my stable. Back in my college days I wore them while connected to my AIWA "Walkman" type AM/FM cassette player. I loved this $53 headphone back then and I keep them for nostalgia but I'm not an on-ear headphone fan either. The thing is, back then the on-ear beat having to use the old style ear buds that came along with this kind of player while being affordable enough for a college kid who wanted to enjoy his own mix-tapes rather than listen to the couple of rural radio stations serving up crappy programming day after day. And if a headphone isn't comfortable what's the point of putting it on your melon? My other headphone back in those days was also an on-ear model made by Denon. Neither of them had a detachable cable. It kind of amazes me that the Yamaha has survived all these years and while it doesn't compare to any of the modern headphones I own it does have a certain charm to it.

Awesome 👍😎 Thanks for sharing. I had some Sony on-ear for my walkman and I still use Koss KP30i from time to time.

Thank you sir, i can do iEMs and Over the ear, but on ear just ruins the entire experience for me. I liked the Sunday morning choice for music this week also.

The only on-ear I've heard and owned is the Yamaha RH5MA. It was made for studio uses. Very colorless sound and enjoyable only with well mastered songs. It was also very cheap. I loved it. Unfortunately Yamaha doesn't make them anymore.

I'm getting very Grado vives from it's simplicity in design, which is very appealing for out-and-about use. I know the rule of judging it by what accessories comes in the pack, but would they benifit from a pad swap to an over ear?

Pad size would for sure help with comfort, not sure how that would impact sound. The super rigid, stiff headband can be bent for comfort. I'm waiting on Erzetich approval to try that. I'll update the comments if it helps.

Comfort is half the battle with HP's. I've returned great sounding HP's because the comfort or weight was unbearable

I was actually considering buying them. It's something different. I also don't use or own any on ears. I hate them, but should i give it a chance? After this review, probably not. I need comfort. 😢

I don't understand how people can stand on ear headphones. I so far find them all uncomfortable except for the Koss KPH30i and as a bonus the Koss KPH30i is cheap so if you break or lose them on vacation it isn't the end of the world.

Good morning ☕️ 🍩 If it don’t fit …then …we’ll, the rest is history.🤦‍♂️ I’ve tried 2 on ears that I thought were decent ..one was a pair from Sen’s and the second was from B&W . Sounds like they did a nice job on the sound / tuning ..but the ergonomics suck….shame. Great review, hope the week goes smoothly for you. Take care ☕️🔥🍕🥓🍩👍
