Wonder how it works with Propellerhead Reason 10?

Just fine ;)

I was thinking the same thing, I’m on Win 10 and need a recommendation for a decent soundcard with ADAT io (so the ES8 shows up as extra io). Any help greatly appreciated...

Be good to see it demonstrated with Reason. I'm sure it should work fine. I might have to pull the trigger on an ES-8 & see for myself ........ I might be the one doing the ES-8 / Reason 10 demo! :D

Dogboy73 that would be great 👍 ...also Reason user here. ...But PC not Mac. Is that update for windows coming?

Can I also use this as a way to get line level signals into and out of my modular without another module, like the Intellijel Audio Interface II or Bastl Hendrikson?

Yes.

are you able to record a cv sequencer through the ES-8 and convert it into a midi file with Silent Way?

Maybe a stupid question but if you have the ES-8 as both Audio Input Device and Audio Output Device in Ableton Live, how do you monitor the session? Do you have to route the Master channel to the ES-8 and from there connect speakers?
@beneficjenci7 жыл бұрын
Well if You have ES-8 set as You audio interface than yes - the outs on ES-8 serve as Your monitor outs, You can also use the ADAT outs for that.
@sthlm_blush7 жыл бұрын
Ok, thanks! But you do have to have the ES-8 set as your audio interface in order to send signals/CV back and forth to the modular, right?

You could get an output module like the intellijel ujack and use some pass through patch cables and put the monitors into that and re-route the output to the input on the es8
@Kyle-wb7wx5 жыл бұрын
As I understand you can have 2 audio interfaces at once. Looking into aggregate midi device for Mac. I also believe that is a windows way to do this as well.
@Dogboy735 жыл бұрын
I've never seen a demo of the ES-8 on a Windows system. But I've read lots of people having issues with the ASIO4ALL drivers you have to run to get it working alongside your existing audio interface. Sounds like setting up as an aggregate device on a Mac is a lot easier to do & works better. Not sure if ES-8 is the way forward for Windows users unfortunately. I'd like to buy one but I don't want to be the guinea pig. I wish ES would have some demos of the ES-8 with Windows. We've got the ES-8 Windows drivers .......... now what!? :-/

Are you getting Audio into your computer through the ADAT?
