Not literally! The funeral was a fake-out, it was performed only to the Itsuki family and close friends like Kuro and Nazuna in a competition for grandpa Itsuki’s inheritance money (which Shu and Mika won).

The part starting at 1:25 why does it feel like Mika and Shu are voicing out EACHOTHER‘s thoughts and not their own? Is it just me? I mean especially when Mika says that some things are unforgivable, isn‘t that actually shu struggling to forgive HIMSELF for what he had done in the past? And then the part shu says as an answer is actually mika telling him to not grieve over those sins?

Knowing Valkyrie’s story, this actually tugged my heartstrings a little, asdfghjkl thank you for sharing your view! I have yet to come around to read the event story, but from what I heard from friends and live-tweets, Le temps des fleurs is really a retelling of a play/opera (it’s one or the other) that Valkyrie put on together about Shu’s grandfather’s love, told in song-form. I was looking at the lyrics from the “storytelling” point of view, but your input did open my eyes a bit. mika_enstars on Twitter has a full translation of the story posted on his Tumblr, so do check it out!
