I’m a guy with about 10-20% gray hair. My hair color is a bit dull and I wanted a natural hair color that fully covered my grays. I tried ESalon for the very first time a few months ago. Incredibly fool proof and user friendly. It also covered ALL of my stubborn grays. I miss how vibrant my color looked with it so I will be doing a new re-order! Its amazing.

I’ve been using eSalon since the pandemic started. Where every salon is closed, without another better choice I went ahead ordering eSalon. I loved it, and will never go back to cheap box coloring or Madison Reed. MR just won’t cover my grays well, and or the color wouldn’t stay long in my hair either. eSalon is pricier but very well worth than going to an actual salon to get it done, paying around $100 or more.

I’ve been using Madison Reed for years, but as I’ve gotten older my grays are much harder to cover. When I tried a darker color to cover my gray hair better, the color was way too dark, almost black. I love that Madison Reed doesn’t smell bad, but I like the idea of getting color matched just for me by eSalon. Thanks again for the excellent review, and I’ll let you know when I try eSalon.

Did esalon.... its a no go. I don't have a lot of grey but even so ....it's hard to cover AND IT *DOESN'T KEEP THE COLOR VERY LONG. I TRIED THE LOREAL EXCELLENCE CREME..AND I COULDN'T BE *HAPPIER !! *SOFT .*SILKY..*EXCELLENT COVERAGE ..if the color is long lasting ..then it's Winner Winner chicken dinner!!

I noticed with Madison Reed I learned to go up one whole level. Not one shade a level then you will probably be happy because the shine is incredible and my hair was still moisturized. The new IGKis with similar ingredients is good but a bit drying and not as shiny but still shiny.

I loved seeing your opinion on these companies as I’m always thinking about changing but I loved eSalon too. My color is very similar to yours except one shade lighter and it’s a perfect match to my natural color. Awesome company!

Love your hair color. I changed mine from a dark brown to dark chocolate brown which has Mahogany in it, but it also has ash so I’m a little nervous about that but I’m gonna give it a shot. just like you said you can always change it....love love love this color

Ooh no! It covers mine but the First time I tried it it didn’t and I told them and they adjusted the formula. Hopefully Madison Reed will work for you, if not you may try contacting each salon and letting them know it didn’t cover your grays and they’ll make a different formula for you. Good luck!

You look like you have fairly thick hair .The thickness,length,colour and texture of your hair is very similar almost spot on to mine...I also love love the copper red for my hair and love that you can tweak it since I'm pretty particular about the shade that I like. The regular salon visits every four weeks to cover my stubborn grey hair is way too expensive to keep up with so I definitely want to order some esalon ...it's any easy choice for me since Madison reed doesn't deliver to Canada here plus everything you you said about esalon really appeals to me. Anytime I've coloured my hair at home with box dye I always needed two boxes in order to have enough. Does esalon provide enough colour for us thicker haired gals ? Hair looks great ...I love the colour 👍.

Yes. I’ve never felt I didn’t have enough. Sometimes I even gave extra. Depending on how long I go. I know it’s so expensive to go as often as we have to. 🥰

I like eSalon too. Lately, I have been doing Wella just because I like to change things up and I don’t have to have a subscription for it. I have really cut back on auto shipments.

Thank you for your review. I was leaning toward E-Salon but agree, both have good and not as good reviews. I think (not sure) E-Salon might have been around longer. I have stubborn greys too and is that something to mention early? I have read ESalon have a more detailed questionnaire but Madison Reed a real stylist. So I think I'll go with ESalon for now and see how it goes. Loreal is just not cutting it anymore, greys pop up even without washing a lot, fading, etc. Thank you for your honesty. Don't we all miss some pampering, been many months for hair or nails and for nails, it will be much longer. Be well and thanks again.

Not necessarily. You can do roots and the have a highlight kit. I’ve not tried it. They also have all over toner which I use it’s so good. ❤️

I GOT A CHEMICAL BURN FROM ESALON ON MY EYES, ALSO MY HAIR DYE STUNK HORRIBLY OF AMMONIA AND ALCOHOL IT WAS SUFFOCATING AND I HAD TO RINSE OUT THE DYE WITHIN LIKE 5 MINUTES. AND NOW I HAVE ORANGE HOT ROOTS... ESALON WAS HORRIBLE FOR ME

No. Regardless of whether it’s E salon or Madison reed or going to the salon and having my hairdresser do it I’ve noticed that it lasts the same regardless. It’s more for me about how fast my hair is growing not that it fades! If I feel like it’s getting a little dull and needs a little shine that’s when I’ll use the Toner in between colors so it gives it I really glossy shine and adds a little bit a color❤️
