Madison Reed Review- My Professional Thoughts-HowTo Cover Grey Step by Step Color-Hair Color Results
Hi Friends,
First I'll say that I am not affiliated with Madison Reed in anyway. I have seen so many Influencers sharing this color kit so I thought I would give it a try.
Most of you know that I'm a licensed Hairstylist and specialize in cut/color. I typically color (Retouch my grey every 4-5 weeks and wanted to see if this popular at home color line could stand up to my stubborn grey hair. I thought it would be interesting to have the folks at Madison Reed formulate my color and try it out for you all. I hope you enjoyed this step by step retouch tutorial and my review.
If you're new to my channel, I hope you will Subscribe, we have a lot of fun around here!

God bless you all💕
Jesus was righteous and without sin.
He took our place and died on the cross when we were lost, guilty, and had hearts of stone. He paid our debt, (Paid for our sins).Ephesians 2:1-7
We could never have done enough or been saved any other way, except by the blood of Jesus. John 3:16
The Power of the Holy Spirit changes our hearts. Galatians 2:19-21 Ezekiel 11:19 . 2 Corinthians 5:17.
By grace we have been saved not of our own doing, It is a gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-10
As believers in Christ we are counted as righteous in Gods eyes because of Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish , but have eternal life.
John 3:16
Romans 10:9-13 (Romans is so good)
because, If you confess with your mouth that
Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that
God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9

I love how your hair turned out. I’m 58 and have a lot of gray. I spend 120.00 at the salon about every 6 weeks and it’s getting very expensive. I saw Madison Reed at Ulta yesterday so I’m going back tomorrow after seeing your great results. Thank you for sharing. P.S. I love that you’re a believer in Jesus Christ, it’s so rare these days. 💕

Love how beautiful that turned out. I'm waiting for my box and should get it any day! I've been coloring my hair at home for years now once I hit 50 and the grey started getting bad. Every 4 weeks at the hair salon was way too much! HA! My color is 9A so looking to go up a couple levels from what you demonstrated without the orange. Fingers crossed!

That came out so very pretty and it looks very natural. My hair color for whatever reason is hard to match. Everything has a touch of red in brunette which is not my natural color. The best professional dye job I ever had was done on a trip to Mexico City lol. Had so much fun at that Salon.

Hi there, adding some Ash to your color will help to negate the red.🙂

If you are naturally lighter and your taking it much darker, red will fill the lighter hair, so if your hair is lighter naturally you need the red undertones in the brown to give it richness or make sure your stylist fills your hair first with a mid shade- otherwise your hair color will look hollow, looking more green. That being said once you have the richness and base tones you can then use ash! To help eliminate the unwanted red tones. I hope that helps😊

Love this review and tutorial on how to apply. I'm beginning my journey of covering my grey at home now, too. My stylist chose the Ion color for me from Sally's and it's great, with great coverage but I'm a natural ash blonde and the color she chose was a neutral mushroom level 7 that continues to pull gold on me. I've looked at Madison Reed and chose the same color you used because I want my ash blonde back. I do have old highlights, but am wondering if I could just lightly pull the remaining color after covering my roots, through my whole head so that I don’t have three different distinguishing colors in my hair. I'm not a stylist or colorist but my current stylist/colorist told me to do 30grams color/30 grams of 20% developer for 40 mins on my roots. My thoughts are maybe pulling the color all the way through the rest of my hair possibly after 20 - 30 mins? I just really want the same all over my head and honestly, I'm not even interested in highlights anymore. Any advice is appreciated.

It looks pretty good, I have really dark roots and I want to try this color, but I wanted to see how it was going to turn out. Great job, though next time, pour everything into the bottle and give it a good shake, THEN pour it into the bowl. It makes it easier for mixing.

It looks so pretty! I was just about to buy this same color and was looking for reviews. This has been really helpful! I am a natural 6 also. I have resistant grey more in patches. I have some highlights in the top portion of my hair. Do you think I should use a glaze first to fill? or do you think I could put a level 8 color over highlighted level 6 hair?
