Blown away by this run. Love that its a nearly glitchless run too, almost entirely just effective use of intended strategies.

Oh nice I was wondering when Nioh would show up on a speedrunning marathon. One of my favorite games of all time, an instant classic IMO.

nahh, the game's fun, but could use a lot of work, got my hopes up for Nioh 2, if that one doesnt satisfy, we still got sekiro as a guarantee :)

Yea, Nioh is my favorite PS4 game. Open world AAA games are dull by comparison.

@@duffysullivan2794 but nioh isn't really open world, is it?
@duffysullivan27946 жыл бұрын
@@nowone666 No that is not what I meant. Nioh is not open world at all. I play open world games like Witcher 3, Horizon ZD and to me they are kind of boring. Witcher 3 especially was like plowing through a dull novel. There have been some open world gamesI really liked, Dragons Dogma, Gothic 3 ( which is not a popular Gothic game, but I loved it ) but most open world games do not hold my interest much past the early levels. Nioh gets my blood pumping. Keeps me on my toes and keeps me challenged. That is my kind of video game! And it is so well done. Smooth animations, wicked fast frame rates, I love the art style and attention to detail, that frankly I find missing in western developed games. Japanese have an elegance to their development style that I personally have an eye for and appreciate.

@@duffysullivan2794 oh ok, yeah sure but its not like it hadnt been done better in the past by the very same company that developed it, nioh was fun but it had a lot of wasted potential, i mean for christ sake the secondary missions were boring as all hell, especially when it's the same level i already played 2, 3 times before, some bosses were cool, other were shite *cough*finalboss*cough*... my kind of game is a game that keeps me wanting to play, and sometimes nioh did the exact oposite and i just realized this reply is way longer than it needed to be so lets make it a little longer by writting some more, hey man i think FromSoftware's games are ridiculously better in every single way, even in getting your blood pumping... so... nioh 10/10 100/100 best game best game

i quit the game after dying to umi bozi for ages.
@Xeno4555 жыл бұрын
Here's a few tips for Umi. 1. Most Important than anything, light the 3 lanterns hidden around the stage. This will insta-kill the smaller mobs (also gives you amrita so if you fail a few times you'll get your living weapon back for free) 2. He's insanely weak to fire. 3. While you're smacking him, attacks will NEVER make you fall off ledges. So don't worry about falling off while attacking his body. As long as you don't move with the analog stick, you're fine.
@shikyoutk66264 жыл бұрын
I dont know if thats ever gonna be relevant for u but umi bozu can be nearly instakilled by just spamming the fire breathing masks. Just use 5-6 on him when he recovers and u win for free.

way of the wise and way of the nioh can pretty much change that. sloth talismans has shorter duration on boss on a higher difficulty so cheese strats will not work most of time.

@@AxelSG wait but Japanese vowels are all pronounced one way, so it’d be more kah-to than either. E.g. Amaterasu is (ah-mah-ter-ahsu). If we used your “correct Japanese pronunciation” it becomes (ay-may-ter-aysu) which is just completely wrong. If yer gonna gripe at least get it right.
