Atnafu was right to say that the country needs a mixed economy. Even if he was wrong, why kill him? General Teferi was right to call for reconciliation, even if he was wrong why kill him? Forty years later today Ethiopia still needs a reconciliation process. It needs a truly all inclusive dialogue.
@degonemoretew89992 жыл бұрын
The same mistakes happen again and many hundred thousands died and dislocated rejecting reconciliation in our native Ethiopia and the criss continues.Let us contribute as much we can there is hoest reconciliation including by the newly appointed commission members by the government.
General.Aman. was a brave man Carriage man Warrior and a hero for Ethiopia it's very unfortunate what derg did to him at that time because my opinion if that didn't happen Eritrea would not would not be separated from Ethiopia and I believe the country would have been a whole lot better during the seventy years 17 years time

The General's cooperation with the saboteurs and the then so called" northern freedom fighters" was unforgivable. Though, was brave and warrior in his Ethiopian uniform, I think his ego and the ethinic politics costs him his life.

The problem I repeatedly see with Ethiopian journalist is , they ask a question and want to answer it themselves. For heaven’s sake please let him finish his sentences. Learn to listen. It is history he talking about. He is not expressing an opinion and you don’t have to cut him off.
THE ETHIOPIAN CHRONICLE HOW DID Gen, AMMAN ACQUIRED THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF MILITARY AUTHORITY AND "THE LOVE & TRUST" OF ALL THE PEOPLE OF ETHIOPIA AT THE TIME OF H.I.M, HAILE-SELASSIE???!!!
The whole point of doing an interview like this with someone that was a high ranking official is to extract some information (especially untold stories). Instead these idiot journalists keep cutting off the guests in an untimely manner. Uffff.
I would not say this is strong journalism. Why can't she press him more? No follow up questions? When he said Atnafu was killed because he didn't advocate socialism, a mere difference in ideology, why didn't she challenge him?
@gangokayro41182 жыл бұрын
What is there to press on? Was Atnafu killed because he opposed socialism? The answer is yes. At the very last minute, 1:01:00, Addis said that Atnafu was right all along and that was a popular sentiment too. Is "a mere difference in ideology" justified killing? Well, that's what DERG is known and hated for. Addis repeatedly apologized for his part.
The killing of 60(Sixty)Ethiopian Haile Selassie regime officials was completely different from Feseha Desta's idea.Feseha Desta said it was done by Mengistu where as Addis Tedla is saying different.

what do you expect from DERG? Ethiopia never rewarded its own heroes. LOOK what is happening in Ethiopia now? Indeed " short memory" people who claimed the last 27 years as a dark era. what is the last 4 years is going to be called?
@TheBex20072 жыл бұрын
@@addistedla lol what a nonsense conclusion. The last four years is the result of the 27 years deep rooted hate mongering and ethnic based politics. Now we are harvesting the fruits of woyane's selfish group idiots. You want us to Prize the 27 years of woyane's regime? What an idiot you are.
