Good video, but it is not super easy 🤐 Done it myself on my aprilia. Some connectors are hard to find and som is hard to disconnect. After all, it worth it 😊

So... let's suppose I want to change the exaust on my mt-07 and don't need to squeeze every last bit of juice but simply want to adjust the air/fuel ratio, smooth out the engine, etc. Can I install the rapidbike evo and let it handle things without having to be tuned by a garage?
@ESBKLife4 күн бұрын
@@rawmaterials3909 Yes, get the EVO version and it will do exactly that. If you get it with the My Tuning bike add-on it will do it even better as it will use a wide band 02 sensor to make adjustments as opposed to the stock narrow band 02.

@@ESBKLife Oh, I see. Never heard of this add-on, I'll have to check that. Thanks!!

A bit dumbfounded the BT didn't offer a better solution. I am in the process of eliminating everything piggybacked on my bike except a stand alone quickshifter. I will be giving Moore Mafia a look for a complete flash.

I agree. My brother brought his RSV4 RF to them and they dyno tuned it right there on site. But that was a few years ago. Like I said I’m going to call them again to see it I can bring it to them. If so, I’ll either sell the Rapid Bike or transfer it to another bike.

Hi, just added RapidBike Evo to my Yamaha MT10 2017 mod. This bike has stock QuickShifter and cruisecontrol. Is it common that this does not work after the battery has been disconnected?
@ESBKLife Жыл бұрын
Hey Zed. Sorry for the late reply. When you say "this doesn't work" I assume you mean the quick-shifter and cruise control? I've never owned a bike with cruise control and I've never owned an MT10 so I shouldn't speak to either. But I will LOL. Typically when a quickshifter stops working it means one or a number of sensors are out of sync. On my S1000RR Occasionally, there's a process for teaching the bike the gears so the quick-shifter will work. It involves riding the bike in each gear for about 10 seconds from 1st-6th, then back from 6th-1st then shutting the bike off time. This typically needs to be done after you've reset adaptations. Unfortunately for your Yamaha, I don't know what the process is. Sorry bud :(

@@ESBKLife I solved it. It was a wiring problem. One of the wires to the QS sensor was broken. Nothing visual, inside the insulation. Its all good now, and RapidBike gave me a new excperience with my bike. Feels like a totally new bike. Not laggy, runs nice and smooth. I also added the RapidBike QS with blipper. So much more fun to ride.

Where you able to test this product out yet? If so how'd you like it?
@ESBKLife Жыл бұрын
Hey Ronnie. Not yet. We still have a few feet of snow on the ground in NH, so I won’t get to testing this out until the spring. However, I have the same setup on my MV F4 street bike and it does the job. Super easy to install and easy to use. You don’t have to get it dyno tuned as it’s always making adjustment and refining the fuel tables. Having said all of that, I prefer a custom ecu flash that’s been tuned on a dyno.

Man how in the world do u know which connector is what when removing the original ecu harness u just skip to putting the new one in I can’t figure this out 😭
@ESBKLife6 ай бұрын
There’s no skipping and There’s no need to remove the original wire harness. The RapidBike harness integrates with the OE harness and each connector is labeled.

@@dariusschneider2051 yes. RapidBike, Power Commander, Bazzaz, etc they are all piggyback systems.

@ESBKLife Жыл бұрын
The nice thing about the Rapid bike is you don't NEED to do anything in the software or have it dyno-tuned. The RB has a self-adjusting feature that will fine-tune the map the more you ride. But to answer your question, the bike should fire right up after install. Having said that, follow the install instructions for your bike and you should be fine!
@hypnodic01 Жыл бұрын
Just curious...why not dyno tune with a custom map from a pro shop?
@ESBKLife Жыл бұрын
That’s a good question. Now that I have the Rapid Bike, I should be able to bring it to any shop and get it tuned. I agree 100%. There aren’t a lot of shops in my area that I trust. Second, the BT flash does more than just set fuel and ignition tables, so I think it’s still worth doing. Regardless, I’m going to call BT and see if they’ll tune it on their dyno.

Why flash the bike it if the rapid bike essentially does the same thing?when you look at what it says it does
@ESBKLife6 ай бұрын
All piggyback fuel controllers including the Rapid Bike unit are limited to what they can adjust. An ECU flash will always be the better option if your bike can be flashed! Here's a great video from "2 Wheel DynoWorks" that explains why piggyback units should only be used as a last resort. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j37Up2N8ot1rjM0si=XiwTRvRnU77mBGlv
