jack mcinerney If i were to ONLY judge the song and nothing else, then I might prefer France, but if you take the performance, as well as other contributing factors into consideration, Italy, as a WHOLE, is the entry I would have given the victory to on the night of the final. Often it is not my absolute favourite song that I ultimately have as a winner; it all depends on the show and how I feel about it in the moment. Besides, I could easily have given approximately 10 more awards to Italy, however, I wanted to give the awards to as many countries as I could. And as I love Italy and France almost equally, I found it to be a valid decision.
