Totally biased Sweden superfan here, and I am so happy you love this!! It's a great, uplifting and polished-but-not-too-polished song - and John is so charismatic and vocally strong I see him scoring well on the jury vote and getting a far better televote than Benjamin did last year (in hindsight I can see why his vibe turned people off, but John is much more likeable). Just three minutes of pure joy here. Apparently the Eurovision performance will be lighter and brighter, but I hope the "backing vocalist reveal" is still there. I have high hopes for this in general and I think it really deserves top 5 (as you'll soon see Sweden has some very tough competition).

Fun fact, the reason that he was so emotional at the end is (from what I’ve read) that his ear piece jumped out of his ear at one point. (You can actually see it at the end) and it was a happy accident because that way, he could hear the crowd and the crowd was wild. With the ear piece in, it’s not possible to hear the audience, but now he could and that’s what made him almost cry. Beautiful.

Such a great and genuine reaction, I loved to see how you really felt the song, bringing a smile to your face, and cheering and dancing. That's how the song makes me feel too. John Lundvik is such a genuine guy too, you can really feel how happy and grateful he is about being in Eurovision. For any Swede that's a huge thing, and he's been writing songs for others and been a backing vocalist, so I think he's so happy that he now can step into the limelight. I think that's also reason why he really show appreciation his amazing backing vocalists. He's also a former athlete ( 100 m sprinter, track and field), and he wrote a song for Sweden for the Olympics, and Eurovison is as close you can get as a singer, representing your country. Yes, you've seen him before, you reacted to his song "My Turn" in your reaction video "Eurovision Reaction Request to Melidofestivalen 2018 in SWEDEN!" (There is a little typo in that title btw, it's Melodifestivalen, if you want to change that). Your reaction to him then was "So good!"

Thank you, Greetings from Sweden! John will bring his 'background' vocals, which are really not just a 'background' - he always speaks in terms of 'we' for this performance. They are important, team-playing.

That makes me love him even more. He knows how much they contribute to the performance.💚✌️

FINALLY! Been waiting for your reaction for ages. Btw, he hadn't won, when this was shot. This is from Semi-Final stage, so his excitement was not bevause of victory, but pure joy of love of what he does

Thank you for saying nice things about our entry. Everyone seem to hate it just because it’s Sweden, doesn’t matter what we send anymore :(
@VICKY08TZ5 жыл бұрын
Why don't you try to send something other than safe pop songs? Look at what Italy, Slovenia and Portugal are bringing this year to the contest.
@akerblomsyoutobe5 жыл бұрын
Vicky_Tz well, just because it’s pop doesn’t mean it is safe and boring. I agree that Benjamin and Robin Bengtsson weren’t the best, but I don’t see why this is boring? We still want to send something we think is good, we could send something you would call ”different”, but that’s not what we think is the best. Euphoria was a pop song? Was that boring?

Vicky_Tz - You are quite toxic aren’t you. Maybe you should go get yourself checked.

Seeing your face smile is just as good as Johns smile. As a Swede I can say that this is the first time since 2016 I completely support our entry. It's exactly the message we need to send right now! Anything less but top 5 would be a disgrace..

Linnéa Thunberg You know he really seemed so thankful and overwhelmed at winning. There is so much heart in this guy that may have been a little lacking from Benjamin and Robin.💚✌️

Simon Andersson jag tror inte att den kommer vinna, men jag tror iallafall att den kommer till finalen. Under alla år som Sverige varit med i Eurovision så har vi bara ett enda år inte tagit oss till final

I didn't follow Eurovision at all until the second part of the final yesterday evening, then I went on KZbin to listen to John Lundvik first afterwards and I just "This should absolutely be in the top 3! it has everything! (although it is not perhaps super original) So it is a liiiittle bit disappointing it only got a 6th place, but if John succeed to continue to create great songs he can be as big as Roxette was once! :-) :-) :-)
