@mirroroffthewall59326 жыл бұрын
I know all the lyrics to this song. I think once you learn the pronunciation rules for Serbian, it is pretty easy to sing along. Serbia is definitely one of the best countries in Eurovision. I didn’t care for their 2017 and 2018 songs but they have never sent a song that is actually bad.
@strahinjamacesic39747 ай бұрын
The thing that makes ud Serbians hear that it isn't someone's native language is the accents. We don't mark them graphically yet there is actually for of them denoting the pitch of the syllable. Also the lengths of the vowels. But other that that, Serbian is very easy to learn how to write and read. :)

He's the composer of the music of his songs. Also by him are Bosnia and Herzegovina 2006 (3rd place), Serbia 2008 (6th place) and Montenegro 2015.

Balkan music is so beautiful, it is way Serbia is always so high singing in their own language. These year they sent something different and they were at the bottom of the list.

OMG!! This was my favorite song in 2012. It was so beautiful!! He performed first in the running order in his semi-final and came second overall. The only reason he didn't come first in his semi-final was because Loreen was in that exact same semi-final. 😂😂😂
@dajnova11486 жыл бұрын
Ruby Chiang both times he was beat out by sure winner woman. Lol any other year and he wins with either or both songs. But then again. If he won in 2004, he might not have come back in 2012. And we can’t have THAT. LOL

He also composed some other entries: Serbia 2008 - 6th place Bosnia and Herzegovina - 3rd place (best result for them so far) Montenegro 2015 - 13th place (best result for them so far) He is simply amazing and I really wish he would come back again, even as a composer ♥

Just as for 2004, I will try to translate "Nije ljubav stvar" so that you can understand the lyrics: Više sreće drugi put (Better luck next time) kažeš mi to tako lako (You say to me so easily) vidim da nam ne ide (I can see that it isn't working for us) a još kako moglo je (But it really could) I ako odeš ti (And if you leave) nešto tvoje, znaj (Know that something of yours) tu će ostati (Will stay here) Nije ljubav stvar (Love is not a thing) da bih ti je vratio (So that I would give it back to you) gledaj, to sam samo ja (Look, it's just me) uvek sam te voleo (I've always loved you) Nije ljubav stvar (Love is not a thing) pa da ne znam šta ću s njom (So that I wouldn't know what to do with it) želim ti sve najbolje (I wish you all the best) ova ljubav samo moj je brodolom (This love is only my shipwreck) Idi samo, samo, idi tamo (Just, just go, go there) leti, pevaj, srce drugome daj (Fly, sing, give your heart to another) al' znaj da "zbogom" nije kraj (But know that "farewell" is not the end)

I agree with you, I love both 2004 and 2012 from Zeljko, but I like 2012 one a bit better :) He entered the Eurovision with 2004 one though, so "Lane moje" will always be special in that way. To help you out a little bit, you can try to pronounce his name like this: Zhelyko Yoksimovich :) (I butchered the spelling, but it's just for helping your pronounciation :D ) Generally, when you see a letter "j" in any of Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian language, you can imagine a "y" in the place of "j" and it will help you with the correct pronounciation. Now you HAVE to react to Bosnia and Herzegovina 2006 (Hari Mata Hari - Lejla), Zeljko Joksimovic wrote that song and it won the 3rd place! :)

This is a complete song. Great vocals Great selection of instruments Great structure, which is not the predictable: verse 1 chorus verse 2 chorus bridge chorus, but more like: instrumental intro verse 1 instrumental bridge verse 2 Great hook starting with the instrumental bridge It's increasing in intensity making it epic This is simply better than euphoria

Could you please do 2012 2nd semi final interval act (with Dima Bilan, Alexander Rybak, Marija Serifovic, Lena and Ell&Nikki?? I‘d sooooo love to hear your comment on that performance! Or 2008 opening show from Marija Serifovic? (Zeljko Joksimovic and his now-wife Jovana hosted that show in 2008!)

Such a great performer. Just a small tip to make it easier in the future: when you see a letter J in Balkan songs or artists' names, treat it like Y in English, like in York, like, Niye moya lyubaw stvar (My love is not a thing) (you said "stvar" pretty correctly, I'm so proud of you, I know it's not easy to pronounce all these languages.

Maybe you could do Sakis Rouvas (Greece 2004 and 2009), Charlotte Nilsson (Sweden 1999 and 2008) and Paula Seling & Ovi (Romania 2010 and 2014) in the same fashion at some point?
