Yes, yes, YES! I'm so glad you reacted to and liked this one, Jake! What a beautiful, soothing, relaxing piece of music! The instruments and the backing vocalists make it sound so magical and the lead singer is so stylish and classy! I love playing this song on a lovely sunny spring day, when the air is fresh, it fits so well. I love playing it in the background while I'm doing something around the appartment. Well done, Denmark!

This is such a low-key song, the type of song that could very easily be boring. But I just find it so sensual and mesmerising, so this song really works for me!

Oh my god, I love this song, Denmark came in 5th place that year. It's a really beautiful love song about how much she misses her lover. The chorus especially is really good.

If you want to hear more great songs from Denmark at some point in the future, then I'll recomend these years: 1963, 1989, 2000, 2001, 2011 and 2012.
@jedimalone6 жыл бұрын
Jazzer Hazzer how can you not mention 2010 in this list? I agree with the rest though. I'd put in 1997 too, but that's probably just because it's my first memory of Eurovision.

Nel blu dipinto di blu (Volare) by Domenico Modugno from the year 1958 if you have time you can have a look at it once. One of my favorite personal songs of the ECS I love this song so much I may be a prejudiced but I love all the songs be sung in Italian. Well Italy is my second home. Anyway, I love your videos.

I love this. Her silk-smooth voice singing about silky sheets. :) This is the kind of song that does not get enough space to be digested during the 'competition-craze'. But afterwords, it is a song i could play repeatedly when in the same mood.

React to Denmark 2000! :D (when you have time ofcourse). That was the winner that year. Also consider listening to the winner from the Danish national contest that year because the song was Danish (and very know today in Denmark) but they made an English version for esc. So it could be fun if you reacted to both versions.

Lyrics translated: Let me know when All the trains leave Because I want to wake up with you Now the snow has locked me Only one winter from here Cold and freezing clear Send me your thoughts Because my heart beats (chorus): From Mols to Skagen (2 Danish cities) from Mols to Skagen From Mols to Skagen, I miss you And your silk sheets And breakfast on blue balconies There are no wild swans As long as the snow falls You were everything to me Now I'm silent and pale You are the emperor of the sun My dreams travel

I just remembered there are 3 songs that have been sung in invented languages in the ESC. You already reacted to "Sanomi" from Belgium 2003. The others are Belgium 2008, "O Julissi Na Jalini", and The Netherlands 2006, "Amambanda".

Funny that you mention dreaming, because that is what the song is about. Dreaming about being in your lover's silky sheets, while being trapped by the snow. As a Dane I also find the lyrics really beautiful. Probably my favorite danish entry. Nucturne isn't bad, but to me this stands the test of time a lot better. .

1995 is just a great year :) Scandinavian countries were very good. Funny how Denmark and Sweden exchange 12 points that year and tried to boycott Norway's win in the voting. Juries tactics are very old haha
@LiamPennington3 жыл бұрын
Denmark 1995 is such a special song. One of those long lost Eurovision gems, and a representation perhaps of how things have truly changed from "old" to "new" Eurovisions. There was a trend for Denmark to be the "wacky" country throughout the 80s and 90s, always with a gimmick or a wink to the camera. 1995 was way out of this character, in a good way. A brilliant, overlooked song.
@noobgamerbo27736 жыл бұрын
One of my favourite danish entries, it actually got a 5th place though it was in danish

As a Dane i have to say that this is one of the few danish highlights from eurovision in the 90's - We failed to qualify to the contest in both 1994, 1996 and 1998 and got very bad results, so DR almost gave up on the show at the end of the century :/
